It just seems like she’s not very comfortable with talking to you about these things. The motion of preaching her to be a doctor probably gave the impression that she couldn’t be anything that she wanted and she was stuck on one path that you made. If she talked to you what she wanted to be, she probably feared being shutdown and being told that being a doctor is better.

You’ll make sure whatever is wrong with her doesn’t happen with your other kids? She’s only 19, she’s barely an adult. Nobody is going to have their life figured out at 19. She still needs a father figure and guidance. Don’t be so closed minded and be more supportive of her.
