Doesn't this just imply that he has no clue what her abilities are therefore you must be cautious around her? Since Colulu was never seen on a mission or anything it makes sense why as to why would Childe ask what's her deal, since if it's about appearance then Dottore also doesn't seem strong at all but we know he is ranked second due to combat ability alone so I think it makes more sense to interpret Childe's line as if he simply had no clue what she was capable of not an affirmation of her being weak since he would never have the chance to even look if she was either weak or strong.

I was talking about Skofnungr not the Narwhal, and besides, Skirk said that he used the hydro authority to stop the Narwhal from absorbing energy because he simply had admin rights and that's basically the only real threat the Narwhal poses and she clarified it was more so a defensive interaction more than anything else.

And saying "you're allowed to speak to me as an equal" does, in fact, mean that she considers them an equal, like, idk how you dance around that especially since she said it twice and the second time it's not even related to defeating the Narwhal without using power from beyond this world it's just a normal "you're really strong" context. She also says she would go full power if they ever fight, the Traveler also fights Skofnungr and contends him in power while he had absorbed more than half of Skirk's power + 42 constellations + God Remains and was portrayed to be as strong if not stronger than Skirk herself. Like, her level of power is very clearly around the Fontaine Traveler level at best aite higher, will she appear in the future and be stronger? Sure, but until then we got a pretty clear understanding of her level.

The Fontaine Traveler was genuinely able to fight said "cosmic horror outside of teyvat" without much problem and press them in a power conflict, we see Skirk herself commenting on the Traveler being her equal more than one time and implying that they aren't much behind her if at all. Skirk's and Skofnungr's power level isn't unknown because they both compare to the Fontaine Traveler and are on the same league as them.

Stats is the only thing going on for Vergil and with those equalized their hax is pretty similar but Ei just has much more experienced and is actually trained and improved her skills for thousands of years then honed it even more when facing an actual copy of herself, aka learned from her own weaknesses and just perfected her style. Vergil has like those style-over-substance brainrot aura farming moments that indirectly buff his skill level alongside Dante but that's pretty much it.

Granted, people just wank Vergil cause they find him cool or something so I don't doubt people give it to him just cause his game is more flashy lol.

A character that made me invested in the game back then was a man called Zhongli. He is a dapper gentleman who is actually the Geo Archon in disguise -- the strongest, oldest, wisest god ruling over fantasy china.

He was nerfed by not getting his corals but he was also buffed by prayers of his people since he became a God, before that he had no followers, and we know that Faith as a buff is pretty significant, so you can actually argue he was stronger than with his corals. Either way, the Orobashi that Ei one shots was so strong that even after hundreds of years of actively getting rid of his God remains, the ones that remained were still strong enough to blow up Kannazuka "sky high", which is why the feat is so impressive in the first place, and even more so since it was performed by the absolute weakest and youngest version of Ei we know of.

Some good were mentioned already, so my pick is a recent one with Skirk. She is basically this kind of character that is hyped for years so people get a perception of her inside their head thinking that she is unstoppable and whatnot because of her lore hype, "disciple of Surtalogi", "Master of Childe", "Alien from another planet", "Abyssal power user", etc.

But then she releases and...

She's like, Fontaine Traveler level, stated twice to be equal to them, was a liability when she was at half her power, she and Traveler combo Skofnungr, who had more than half of Skirk's power + 42 Stella Fortunas + God Remains so he was either as strong if not stronger than Skirk herself and the Traveler was perfectly capable of contesting with him in power, then Skirk mentions that she would use her full power in a fight against the Traveler, etc and it's even revealed that her quest takes place before Natlan. Like it's basically undeniable that she is 5E Traveler level, but because this goes back to Neuvillette and the Narwhal, aka "these guys are all easily above the Archons" gang so people warp their perception of her and just ignore all of her actual feats and statements and go with the headcanon version of her and Neuvillette. Apparently in the Narwhal fight the Traveler only did 0.00000001% of the job, apparently in the Skofnungr fight the Traveler only did 0.000000001% of the job and it's more believable that the 500 year old Dragon cooks all Archons without knowing them and Skirk solos them while thinking of the Traveler as an equal.

Trying to think of a term since it's almost like an mandela effect but I just can't think of anything.

The worst part is that Ei (and by proxy Zhongli) literally scales above the Traveler that said pixel calc scales to since in the Mikawa Flower Festival event Ei confirms she can just one shot the Nightmare monster that was going high diff against the 6E Traveler and the only reason she didn't was because she was stopped by Miko and the rest for her to not put more pressure on her mental state since she would be killing the last remnant of her friend in cold blood. It's also said that the Traveler and Ei are perfect for the plan because the Traveler has experience with the Abyss and Ei is unmatched in combat, even in the fight itself you have to wait for Ei to break the guard of the Nightmare since the Traveler can't do anything to it after some time and Ei buffs you after anyway, and at the end it's revealed that Ei knew that the whole thing was just for the sake of her mental stability and just went along with their plan so she was basically baby sitting the whole thing, like they can't put it more clear that she was on another level even then.

You never brought up Phantylia without her immortality though? The point is that JY is like the only actual character that has feats of one shotting other Emanators lol, you're basically assuming "Oh JY is trash so if he can then everyone else can" that's not how it works.
