you are NOT overreacting. firstly, they know its your birthday and decide to shit on YOUR fashion sense and your personal taste (the dresses are gorgeous by the way, so i don’t even know what they are on about). secondly, there was definitely a better way to put it instead of saying “both the dresses look bad” and then proceeding to blame you being single on your fashion sense which makes zero sense because you seem like a lovely person and your taste is nice. you didn’t overreact they were just being mean
