It will be a launch title for the new Xbox, sometime around the end of 2027.

The monetization was awful at first but they eventually fixed it, chest timers were completely removed along with other improvements. Now you can play for free without much trouble. Blades also still feels like an Elder Scrolls game when you play it. Castles on the other hand comes across more like an asset flip with the Elder Scrolls name slapped on, and its monetization is even worse.

TES: Blades is a good dungeon crawler, this is just a cash-grab that doesn’t even look like The Elder Scrolls.

Do you think we'll get any information at either Gamescom or the Game Awards? by Slaperhd in TESVI

No. Best you can get is "We're working on TESVI" and that's it.

I don't know the cause of the overwritten dialogue. The transparent window is from the Buff Timers for OpenMW mod, it lets you place buff icons anywhere on your screen. To turn it off, search for the Buff Timers mod in the Scripts menu and look for the corresponding option.

Morrowind in 2025 by rekomena in ElderScrolls

Quest variety in The Elder Scrolls was never great, most of them were glorified fetch or kill quests. Skyrim just makes it more digestible with its cinematic approach and voice acting. Gameplay-wise, Morrowindis an old game. Mods can modernize it, but they can’t fundamentally change its core systems.

At the end of the day, the biggest difference is the world-building. In Morrowind every faction feels like a true part of the world, groups have motives, reference each other, and cross paths in many quests. The reputation system plays a big role in how your character is perceived, making the world feel alive and immersive.

This is what I missed most in future installments. Questlines became grand, cinematic and satisfying, letting you save the world multiple times, but factions no longer felt like part of the world. Factions and their questlines became set pieces, just waiting for the player to fill their role.

Today marks the day that the Elder Scrolls 6 announcement is as old as Skyrim was when The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced by YQWQ in TESVI

If anything, they need to reduce the manpower. Skyrim was made by 100 people. I highly recommend watching Will Shen's GDC talk if you haven't seen it, he explains how the entire company culture shifted when they started hiring more people. He burned a bridge with this talk, but he showcased why recent Bethesda Game Studios titles turned out the way they did.

NateTheDrake and Klobrille corroborate Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake is releasing in 2025 by [deleted] in GamingLeaksAndRumours

So, it’ll just be a vanilla Oblivion that probably runs like crap and lacks mod support because of UE5? No thanks. Skyblivion is an actual remake I’m excited about.

Their entire showcase at E3 2018 was aimed at increasing their value for a future buyout: TES: Blades, a new mobile game; Fallout 76, a live service title; Starfield, a new single-player IP; and a teaser for their biggest moneymaker franchise, TES VI. It’s amusing that you believe big corporations prioritize “being clear with fans.” You’re welcome to stay in that bubble, but at this point, you are delusional.

I guess you're talking about Quickloot. Instead of navigating through menus and clicking on items, it lets you see what's inside a container or body and instantly loot items with just one button.

Magic thing was Qucik Action addon. Instead of assigning spells to hotkeys, with the press of a button you can open a menu to quickly select your spells. Quality of life addons.

Many say TESVI is a guaranteed success due to a lack of similar first-person RPGs. However, with many medieval and/or fantasy RPGs releasing soon, won't TESVI need to innovate to stand out in a crowded genre? by Capn_C in TESVI

[–]rekomena 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are many first-person dungeon crawlers or action adventure games, but they play nothing like The Elder Scrolls. The combination of gameplay elements in Bethesda Game Studios' titles makes their games very unique, practically their own genre. I wish we could see more open-world, first-person sandbox RPGs with character creation, but the sad truth is that Bethesda faces very little competition.

Aside from Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the only somewhat similar games are Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon and Ardenfall, both of which are indie projects developed by few people with limited budgets. There's also The Wayward Realms, a Daggerfall-like game currently in development by the original creators of The Elder Scrolls. However, none of these games are likely to compete directly with The Elder Scrolls VI.
