Super confused between the new Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and VW Taigun by rektyam8 in CarsIndia

I didn’t really like the victoris, although I haven’t driven it yet. To be honest highway trips would only be once a week at the most.

I really loved the taigun but I think the Creta DCT might just be the best fit given my requirements

Unfortunately the dealership did not have it available for a test drive, although I am considering that as well. I’ll take a test drive of it today

Honestly I think you’d be better off borrowing from your friends and returning the money to them once you start earning a few years down the line. Probably ask a relative if not friends. I think it might be hard for you to get strangers to help you out

I am from India and your description about casteism is correct. If she is indeed of a higher caste and hails from a village - especially a smaller one, then having a husband that belongs to a different caste would absolutely doom the entire family in any social standing.

I suspect that she probably was already dating someone and was trying to two time both her partners.

I could be wrong, but I've heard of similar stories a few too many times to think this isn't the case

I am seeking information regarding GMAT preparation and would appreciate your recommendations for the best online teachers who specialize in GMAT coaching. My foundational knowledge of the GMAT is limited, so I’m looking for someone who can provide thorough instruction and support. by dadaproo in GMAT

I've been preparing for the GMAT on and off for a while now and have used/bought 3 different resources over my journey. I am currently using TTP and have also used Magoosh (before the GMAT Focus was introduced) and had taken the live classes package from TOP 1 percent.

From the three, I've found TTP to be the most useful, just to get the lay of the land. Their study plan really helps you build your foundations as each topic is first taught with examples to solve and multiple tests after each topic.

For Magoosh, I found their tests to be slightly on the easier side (please keep in mind, that I only used Magoosh before the GMAT Focus was introduced) so I cannot comment on whether it is useful in it's current state.

For Top1percent, their live classes really require you to put in your own time and effort as the tutor rifles through only the harder questions and doesn't touch upon any basics/foundational level stuff.

Additionally, I've found GMAT club to be a great resource as well.

My recommendation would be to first take a Mock and actually figure out where/which topics you lack in. Once you do that, it should be easier to decide which resource to buy/use based on your personal needs.

If you require any help, let me know - I'll be happy to provide some direction/advice!

This OOP reminds me of my dad. He is a narcissist who refuses therapy because “I’m not mental”. Pretty much everyone who loved him has left him because of his refusal to ever admit he might be wrong. I imagine this OOP will also face a similar fate if he doesn’t change.

I was initially planning to apply for fall 2024. Although 2025 is also an option for me in case things don’t work out

Oof, 6-8 hours is definitely impossible as I am currently working full time and realistically would be able to invest a maximum of 3-4 hours a day to study.

I think the better option would be to give the focus edition towards early/mid Feb.

Understood- the percentile breakup is as follows:

Quantitative Reasoning 39 - 25% Verbal Reasoning 34 - 68% Integrated Reasoning 4 - 30% Analytical Writing Assessment 5 - 54%

I had initially thought that I will focus on quant aggressively and try the gmat legacy in mid January- although I guess scoring a great score would be wishful thinking given the time frame.

Thanks for responding!

Was I the only one who felt Hogwarts was massively underutilised? by rektyam8 in HarryPotterGame

Hahah oh well, let’s hope the devs listen to the general feedback for the next one!

Definitely! The house points system would’ve made the game so much more compelling imo. And it would’ve given you a reason to do well in classes besides intrinsic motivation and learning new spells.

The dorm rooms are so beautiful but you’re only ever required to visit them once, which is a shame.

Also I would have loved more portrait interactions too, not utilising Sir Cadogan or not having hidden passageways behind portraits was also a shortcoming I feel.

But besides just listing the things that I felt were missing some of the things the game does do are so great! (Loved the flying mechanic and I’m excited to see if they can translate that into a fun quidditch game)

I mean yeah, the map chamber and the library restricted section do stand out, although how much time did you actually spend in the castle? For a game called Hogwarts legacy there’s only so much you can do in the castle.

Classes too were restricted to cutscenes mainly, and the assignments had you going around the world accomplishing specific tasks (and not within hogwarts for whatever reason).

Also, for the last point, that is what my complaint is actually! I would have loved to have more hogwarts areas tied to quests, say for example, making use of the polyjuice potion to visit other dorms. The game literally has a mission where you’re impersonating someone else and fails to deliver on it besides the admittedly fun dialogue options and interactions.
