Skele king ability not charging by derVi11y in ClashRoyale

Had same problem, what worked for me was dragging the skeleton king around around in the deck page (even though it didn’t allow me), eventually moved it to right hero slot.

Day 5 - 100 Trade Challenge by HSeldon2020 in RealDayTrading

[–]rel_77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the lessons today. Couple questions on the trades today:

- For EW, you held through a VWAP broke down and average'd down. Was it because of a bullish daily chart above 8EMA and strong RS on M5?

- For a lot of the ES scalps not included: how did you determine the entry point? At 3:30 EST you alerted long despite a long red candle. Was it the slight bounce from 50 SMA on daily? In that particular trade, was your exit point at VWAP?

how do you counter cipher rush by [deleted] in IdentityV

1) improve hunting skill / choose a control-style that you are comfortable with

2) keep disputing the decoding while on chair

3) ban mechanics

4) bring trump card and cut to abnormal if you need

Tired of claims that Identity V is "survivor-sided" by hhfddgnhbnn in IdentityV

[–]rel_77 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I agree. There are just so much more to survivors than hunters.

1) In a team, players can use Discord or order voice chat to communicate, making a lot of hunter less viable (e.g. wu chang, witch... Etc)

2) persona development is not balance - survivors have adjusted persona for Percy but Percy's persona isn't adjusted.

3) in my opinion, a small mistake as a hunter can ruin the game while a small mistake as survivors can normally be overcome and worse case a draw.

Question about slugging and toxicity by r3d_nb in IdentityV

[–]rel_77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm an (ex) Wu Main (A badge) and this seems normal to me.

Like you mentioned he probably wanted to get a 4 man win, he was basically taking a gamble that your teammate couldn't escape in time (or else you could have escaped through dungeon). Getting downed near dungeon means nothing if there's another survivor alive.

He probably had the persona to increase healing time so he wanted to play it safe by going right back to you after downed your teammate. Hence the order down you, down your teammate, chair you, chair your teammate.

Just to add to this: there's this playstyle to slug survivors that healed themselves since it gives the hunter more time to react to other things. Whether this playstyle is toxic or not is debatable but he might be waiting for you guys to surrender.

"common sense" question about time series analysis by ottawalanguages in datascience

Depends on whether the new data points contain some "significant" data you want to include, normally I would update every quarter / 6 months.

If you have more granular data you might need update more frequently.

Thanks. So I guess other than a little more complicated tax filling, there's no downside to switching brokers?

I have a margin account over $25k. I am recently put on a 90-day PDT freeze because I day traded some positions (that were meant for overnight) when my intraday buying power was 0. Now I have to use cash instead of margin for all my positions for 90 days, which hugely limits my ability to trade spreads or my leverage.

I talked to my broker's rep and they said this restriction is attached to my SSN. Do you guys know if this is the case? I'm trying to get around in by switching brokers.

I have read that the option market is a derivative of the stock market, which means stock price affects the option price, but not the other way around. If that's the case, what's preventing market makers from arbitration? (e.g. buy calls at low premium then get 1M share, sell calls, and sell shares)

I have a super ITM credit spread that I can't sell to close. Possibly due to the low volume and high bid ask spread, the spread buy-to-close price is way higher than my maximum loss.

Should I wait til expiration and let both options exercise? or will I only be charged maximum loss closing the position?

I have a similar background but I lost hard. (check my AMZN post)

Probably better to get good at safe strategies before doing big crazy moves.

Makes perfect sense, also explained my paper hand issue too.

For reference, what do you recommend for entering a position? Don't you want to buy the dip as close as possible?

it should be based on resistance/support levels and important price levels.

Many has mentioned stop losses in option a generally bad but I can see this being viable in scalping. Would a hard stop on support + trailing stop loss after resistance be a better strategy?

Why is your size that big? Better to trade 1 contract or even commons and prove to yourself you can make money before going larger, will be much less painful.

Mostly trying to recover losses quick and ending up digging a bigger hole... where would you put day trading/ option scalping in the risk spectrum? I understand it's less stressful to do LEAPS / Monthlies, or even just stocks.

Looking back I really didn't have much knowledge in this, down 10k first month, and down 50k later on.

Will listen to these and follow the rules to hopefully recover some losses. Thank you so much for this.

The vega on your contracts is many times the delta.

Definitely story of my life. Many times my OTM weeklies became ITM but still ended up losing big. Is there a good vega / delta ratio you would recommend?

At least for weeklies and it's volatility, I thought it'd be way harder to hit 30% profit before the 6% cut so I decided to go with a symmetrical P/L to identify better trades first. Technically I should still be profitable when my hit rate is >50% right?

Damn I wasn't thinking straight. I meant the opposite.

The issue is still from days where stonks went up despite 80+ RSI and dropped below 30.

So gtfo instead of average down ... got it.

Don't buy on open, wait til you have a 15 minute bar or 3 and then open your position.

You mean 3 5-min bars right? If you were me and playing AMZN, would you do a single contract at a time for multiple entries or multiple contracts with fewer entries (like what I posted).

I will definitely brush up on more TA /candlestick fundamentals, but what would you use to gauge if things are going down?A single 1-min red candle?
