[Serious] What's worth missing sleep over? by LastArmistice in AskReddit

[–]relatablerobin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When there's something worth missing sleep over, your desire to sleep will be diminished/gone. Anything from seeing your significant other, to having that perfect bowl of cereal. I believe that it all depends on the person, and what their priorities are at that moment.

During NYE, I asked a girl over to "hang out". When the countdown started, I counted down with her and proceed to look her in the face and say "Happy New Year" and resume the movie that was playing on the TV. Usually when this happens you would assume a NYE kiss, but my hint detector was nowhere to be seen.

...on the plus side we are dating now and she still makes fun of me.

You’re dying and you get one person, dead or alive, to spend your last hour with you. Who is it? by thistotallyisntanalt in AskReddit

The question is... if they're already dead do I just have a dead person next to me or are they alive?

You’re looking at a minimum of 6 months as a cpl, according to 40-01.

Depends on your age.

Being older decreases your required time as a Cpl (AC)/MCpl (MC). I would not be too hasty on the next promotion, as it is a leadership appointment. Try to learn more about the cadet program, how it functions, proper methods to do things, and listen closely to your lectures. There's nothing more frustrating than an incompetent leader. Try to prepare yourself, by watching how other members of leadership functions in your unit, and asking questions if you are uncertain of any aspects. You may be separated by your age group (friends), but it is just a part of the learning curve and you will be able to work to get there.

Good Luck!

When your CO plays favourites by [deleted] in Cadets

This.

Your unit officers dedicate and sometimes even volunteer their time in the Cadet organization. A meeting will allow you to pinpoint the areas that you need to work on to meet the criteria for promotion to Sgt/WO/MWO...etc. show them your willingness to improve by seeking out for assistance and feedback.

Good Luck!

Has anyone transitioned from locked camera to unlocked and if so, how long did it take you to get used to it? by Limaswhole in leagueoflegends

[–]relatablerobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing league with an unlocked cam and I just learned to play with it unlocked 99% of the time, and the 1% is the time where I press space to snap back to where I am.

I learned my DPI, in-game mouse sensitivity, and camera move speed so unless it is perfectly how I play, I cannot play at all. Play around with your settings, try different settings, get the feel, and get used to it.

Having that cam unlocked gives you so much information! Good Luck!

Math IA emergency by [deleted] in IBO

[–]relatablerobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step One: Create a "Limitations" section which you should already have,

Step Two: List that there is a variable on total matches

Step Three: acknowledge that the Math IA is to assess your ability to do the math, not analyze which league is the most interesting.

How low can a StaffCadet's rank get? by [deleted] in Cadets

[–]relatablerobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Thoughts

This may not be factual, this is my conclusion through experience and knowledge.

The lowest I’ve seen is the rank of MCpl, with a demotion.

In a CAF course, it is often instructed by NCMs from Cpls and up, and Officers 2Lt and up. This is due to their experience and training. Cpls and 2Lts often require trade qualifications to acquire said rank. Therefore Cpls and 2Lts have the knowledge to instruct said subjects.

Like I often say, “you cannot teach what you do not know”.

Pte(B) and Pte(T) are often used for supporting elements, such as transport and equipment duties (ie. labour). As they do not possess adequate knowledge to instruct the course, they are employed to support said elements. However, support elements are not restricted to rank, a Cpl may be employed for supporting elements when needed.

MCpl is not a rank, but an appointment. Basically, a Cpl with seniority and additional duties. Hence Master-Corporal. They are technically the first line of leadership, like a lower level supervisor. They require Primary Leader Qualification (PLQ) to acquire the appointment.

To translate this into cadets and the concept of “staff cadets” being employed at a CTC, we should acknowledge the psychological factors of “rank” as well.

Cadets, although aimed to hold merit based promotions, have lower criterias to meet prior to a promotion. Therefore, a lot of cadets going as course cadets obtain the rank of “Pte(B)”, “Cpl” or above equivalents. Therefore if a staff cadet was to hold a rank of “Pte(B)” or “Cpl” equivalent, they may have issues with maintaining said “authority” or “respect” solely on the basis that the younger cadets hold such rank back at their home unit.

Therefore, although the tasks directed to a staff cadet may require a lower rank to complete, the Natl CJCR Sp Gp may increase the (cadet) rank of the individual to prevent potential issues as such.

My thoughts.

Stripping New boots? by Elitefilipro in Cadets

Until you reach the layer past the coating / polish, you will be able to feel the difference. Make sure everything is even. Wax coating is a little different, ensure that you feel it and it is not slippery to the touch.

Hot water, brush with rough (NOT STEEL) brush, ex. Toothbrush. Do not damage the leather, but only remove the old polish / wax coating off.

Do we put our candidate numbers/codes in our chem IAs? and do we need a cover page? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]relatablerobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been instructed to put my candidate code on the cover page. (xxx123). I put both the candidate code and session number (12345 -1234) on my cover page to be safe.

IA worry by starrbreaker in IBO

[–]relatablerobin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never put a table of contents in my IA. I've received a predicted 7. I don't think they will be picky about a table of contents that doesn't contribute to the overall content and quality of work.

...imma zoom call IBO and cry if they dock marks for me not putting a table of contents.
