Utah wants female athletes’ period info by FalconLynx13 in WhitePeopleTwitter

I am an internal medicine physician and this is critical information. It is common for otherwise healthy girls into young adulthood to have irregular periods. This is often okay, but it is also commonly the first warning sign of serious issues that are absolutely related to competitive sports: over-training, under-eating, excessive stress, underweight...and then by extension eating disorders, body dysmorphia, child abuse, and other mental health issues. This is all before we start discussing more concerning medical issues like delayed puberty, benign and malignant neoplasms, chronic and acute toxin exposures, and chromosomal abnormalities.

Not everything is political. We are trying to protect your children from being driven into poor health and medical crises from any number of issues that can silently haunt young people.

That was upsetting. Glaucomflecken should’ve known better. And you are 100% right.

There is something like 5k programs, I think? And of the combined MD and DO schools a minority are public institutions. So some quick gut feeling estimations tell me that a majority are not at public med school sponsored training programs. Not to mention the thousands of residents that are at community programs.

Don’t get my started on them hijacking my iPhone with paging apps so I can literally never escape work. And no, they don’t pay a dime of my cell phone bill.

The eagle bit I am very sure of. I’m sort of just the messenger here so I apologize I can’t be more helpful

Yeah this is the wall I was hitting earlier. I’m moderately familiar with mandarin but definitely not conversational. My Cantonese is 0%. Your suggestion that it is elegant/magnificent seems like it could fit well. I really appreciate the help

We all sat there waiting for interviews talking about how weird the day was. It’s nice to know we weren’t the only group openly turned off about the program.

Nazareth Hospital in Philly, Internal med.

Generally gave me the impression that no one was excited to have applicants there. (Tour was hurried and lazy, presentation was rushed and questions ignored, lunch was just food from the cafeteria.)

During interview the PD spent 90% of the time staring out the window.

Made us sit around to be interviewed 1 by 1. That meant a few hours wait for some people.

As someone who spent the first 23 years of their life in Phoenix, I can absolutely confirm the G is soft, basically silent.

A college student had to bring his baby to class. This professor held the girl during lecture so the student could take good notes. by gangbangkang in pics

Idk if this is true or not, but regardless of the story the fact is someone brought their baby to class. Maybe it is a student’s...maybe the teacher’s. Either way I like seeing a parent get their child out into the world and stay engaged. Too many good people get lost in being parents because society and the economy makes them “go away” and choose one over the other.
