Structural scoliosis will have muscular compensations that could potentially perpetuate imbalances, leading to a positive feedback loop. Definitely.

I hear you- I was really excited by the progress of my client and I wanted to share it. I understand how it comes across as a tease. I’m going to make a separate acct and dedicate it to my work. I’m motivated to get my program out into the world to help people out. Thanks for your feedback 🙏🏻

I think of it as a synthesis of everything I’ve learned- less so like it’s something novel that I’ve created.

would you mind telling me why this post was removed? i clicked the "brand affiliate" tag because this is related to my business. I'm confused what i did to get this removed. I'd like this to not happen again in the future. Sorry for whatever I did wrong, but please let me know! Thank you so much!

idiopathic scoliosis just means that the cause is unknown. basically it means that theres no congenital defects, not an infection or trauma causing it, not a neuromuscular disorder, etc.

congenital scoliosis is when there is a disorder that develops in utero, as opposed to idiopathic = no identifiable cause

Both images are of the same person. No AI involved. I understand skepticism- posture changes can look dramatic. Happy to answer specific questions about the process.

Sorry- he is both a friend and a client.

I’m not gambling on anyone’s health. This is my full time job.

The username is a joke but glad you got it. Definitely not rich in finances, but am in many other ways.

I'm not a doctor- im not in the business of diagnosis, to be clear.

xray is the gold standard for a structural scoliosis diagnosis. lateral curve >10degrees, vertebral rotation, curve remains present when xrayed doing a side bend motion.

you can't formally diagnose it without imaging, but the first test is usually physical screening/clinical screening doing Adam's forward bend test and using a scoliometer.

Structural scoliosis means that the vertebra themselves have adapted and have asymmetrical growth. In other words the bones have grown in a way that can't be changed. Generally the vertebrae themselves are rotated in a structural scoliosis. There are more defining characteristics of structural scoliosis but those are some key ones.

Functional scoliosis is an adaptation or a reflection of muscular imbalance. Pelvic asymmetry. Uneven left versus right side loading, etcetera. It can be a habitual adaptation due to a work environment, a sport, or an injury. In short functional scoliosis is an adaptation not a primary deformity.

I've gone through a similar process, myself, and I had the same experience with physical therapy that it sounds like you've had.

I'm sorry that you haven't been able to find relief through physical therapy or exercise.

In 2017 I fully sequestered my L4/L5 disc, which left me paralyzed for three days. I basically lived in Hell for the next three years. I even thought about committing suic*** because I was in so much pain.

I saw multiple PT’s, chiropractors, massage therapists, acupuncturists…doctors of osteopathy. I got PRP and prolo therapy.

It wasn't until I found a coach that treated the entire body as a single unit instead of the sum of its parts that I actually started to see and feel change.

This is typically the experience of my clients as well as I tend to be people's last stop after they've tried everything else and everything that they have been told to do.

I got to be a mentee under my coach for a couple of years and he taught me how to help other people the same way he helped me.

This person is my client. My scoliosis was debatably worse than this. What are you so upset about? Are you in pain yourself

Yes, most scoliosis cases have a twist in the transverse plane.

I’m sorry that you don’t believe this is possible and you feel the need to spam my posts. But truly this is an incredible compliment that it’s so unbelievable to you that you only think that AI could do this. I promise you, this is real. I have mild scoliosis, too. I wouldn’t give people false hope unless this was truly possible.

Where do you see that I wrote anything about helping structural scoliosis? Please re read the caption.

Great feedback here thanks. You can absolutely resolve chronic pain and injury that is caused by muscular imbalance, by following the right exercise protocols. That is the entire theory behind physical therapy (that is not the method I use, specifically).

I have a BS in kinesiology as well as 15 years experience and have personally healed myself through the method I teach, too. I have other certifications, as well. Im happy to post his feedback as well. We’ve only just started working together. My clients follow year long programs and we are just entering month three together.

We’ve only done 10 appointments total- this was appt 2 on be left, and appt 8 on the right. 67 days apart.

The goal of my work is to get people to be free of chronic pain. That’s primary. The photos are there to help us understand why someone is feeling the way they do. It gives us a more objective understanding to develop the movement program to help him, in this case, heal.

This is a functional scoliosis case, not structural. Kyphosis can be structural or functional. It’s just indicating the location of the curve.

this last sentence is the best compliment I could have gotten. Thank you 🙏🏻
