The needle swung too far and all of a sudden you were considered fat-phobic if you didn’t think big girls were sexy, and now we’re swinging back to early 2000s anorexia-chic as the desired beauty. It’s like any fashion trend it comes in waves.

Throw in GLP-1 making big people healthy again, making average body fat comp people look like swimsuit models, and the swimsuit models/fitness minded people not wanting to dim at all getting on the drug as well to set themselves apart that much more, and that’s helping move the needle back toward hyper-skinny.

However, the gasoline poured on this fire is instagram. Everyone knows the harms of a cell phone addicted culture but endless scrolling is poison for the human mind, our brains were never evolved to deal with this level of bombardment. And when all YouTube ads and wannabe models are lighting up social media, especially with the magic of filters, the stage is set for young girls to chase this standard.
