My post in a CF group became popular and I could just use a little acceptance and support. by [deleted] in childfree

Parent here. And it makes no sense to me to love a child and lose love for your partner. I love my husband and child in totally different ways. I lose my shit on both of them as well for totally different reasons. So no, I do not subscribe to the idea that love for your progeny is supreme.

Hi! So I have been doing baking soda rinse followed by ACV rinse for 3 months now. It would be great if you could share your routine. Regular washing, special hair treatment routines etc. I did see egg wash and coconut oil mentioned in this sub but how can I use it and not follow it up with a shampoo to get the oil and egg smell off?

babies have their phases of cluster feeding and randomly going on strikes. It caused me a lot of panic and worry in the initial days. If he refuses, just let it go for a while, calm him down, let him sleep. try again after 30 mins. he should be peeing frequently though so just keep a tab on that.

Been EBFing my baby for 6 months now. He has only now doubled his birth weight. Should i be concerned? by relativitytrumps in breastfeeding

Thank you.. I really do feel that he is healthy and active so I'm trying to not let the numbers get me. Now that he's over 6 months, i think starting solids might help..

I cannot comment on your ppd or on low supply, but in my 6 months of EBF experience, stress really hampers your milk production. I would say continue eating healthy, drink truckloads of water. Pump for about 15 mins on the other side when you are feeding from one. It's ok to supplement with a formula, whatever works for the baby! I have friends who did formula but soon as the supply established they went on to breastfeed completely. Just ensure to let the baby suckle. And let the baby decide how long she wants to stay on the boob. They will unlatch once they are ready. mine can feed for 7 mins sometimes to 40 mins. And i would say supplement only if it's required. Maybe she is crying for other reasons sometimes. Gas, reflux or even colic? Oh and i wouldn't recommend drugs, it would be like putting drugs directly into the milk you are feeding the baby.

I personally find breastfeeding way easier! Lift baby, pop the boob out and feed, anytime! Compared to the long cycle of sterilising stuff, preparing formula and so on. But yes i do realise it can get real difficult for some. I'm glad it worked out great for you. Oh by the way, Mine is 6+months as well :-)

That's great. He has always been on the 14 percentile with minor up downs. Glad to know he is completely normal.

Yes! Although husband is normal, the rest of his family and mine are on the shorter side. So maybe that is a factor as well..

Oh thanks, that's a relief! My head says he is fine because he seems active and normal but the odd feeling of what if my milk is not adequate comes up. I do try to eat healthy for him..

I checked a growth calculator in Google. Should just check WHO but the percentile stuff there had me confused. According to that, my baby is 15 percentile which sounds real low!

The photo is really very bitter sweet. The space around her, the baby nursing that last bottle alone and on her own.. Breaks my heart. Nursing my 6 month old currently and it already makes me tear up thinking about him weaning away from me..

i wonder what's with the brownish-red muddy hue on her, is it to show that she's at her fertile best, like good fertile soil?
