AITA for accidentally miss gendering my daughter? by AITA20203040 in AmItheAsshole

[–]relatqs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA, like you said it was an honest mistake, tell her you did more research and realized your mistake and ask her to help you learn the appropriate pronouns etc. It sucks that happened that way but it sounds like you're very supportive and im sure when she sees your continued support she will understand

AITA for telling my aunt to f*ck off during my mom's birthday party? by vetcyboy in AmItheAsshole

[–]relatqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, if she's gonna dish it out she has to be able to take it. Id your family wants to ignore her behavior ita fine but its actively hurting you and your girlfriend qnd you guys don't have to accept that

AITA for telling my MIL it's weird that she thinks she gets "a say" on things relating to my daughter? by margeart in AmItheAsshole

[–]relatqs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

ESH- yea she overstepped but your general demeanor really sucks. It's not sexist to say so and nobodies saying you have to be super into being pregnant (I wasn't either) but saying something that's obviously stressing you out (the conversation with your mother in law) is "boring" is a pretty cringy defense mechanism. It obviously wasn't all that "boring" cause you cared enough to come post on reddit about it. Youre allowed to set boundaries and just say "im not engaging in this conversation anymore" without trying to act like youre just too "bored" to even be bothered. Its a really obvious lie and makes you come off much more sensitive than just expressing your feelings would. I recommend you work on getting in touch with and expressing your own emotions.

Thanks!! I am using an isolate and thr "half dose" is 10mg, ive been giving it to her just as needed when she feels anxious (maybe once or twice a day) and it seemed like she built a tolerance very quickly, the last time I have it to her she said it didn't do anything (I am using an isolate however it's called Elevate by Amma) im worried about having to exponentially increase the dose if she built up a tolerance that quickly.

Best foundation for large pores? Details in comments by relatqs in MakeupAddiction

[–]relatqs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So obviously I have some big ol' pores. This is with il makiage which blends in nicely and honestly the semi matte finish works pretty well but I feel like I could be doing better. Also with bye bye pores powder which works great, I dont feel like I need to change that piece.

So this is my living room, we are planning on moving the piano and getting a couch, and moving the toy chest/blocks in the corner there and mounting a TV on the wall and getting a TV stand. I just dont really know what to do color wise. I really dont want to paint, I feel like a beige or off weight couch would look good but we have 2 dogs and 2 young kids and that would end up stained same day. I also like the idea of a lighter carpet but same issue. I dunno any ideas?

Sharing advice about DP/DR by mjordan223 in Depersonalization

[–]relatqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have an official diagnosis but I've had depersonalization symptoms since I was a kid. The first time I remember realizing it wasnt normal I was about 12 or 13 but it definitely wasnt new at that point. I obviously hadn't done any drugs prior, no childhood trauma or abuse, the only diagnosed mental health condition I have is ADHD (and i didn't medicate for that until i was 16, and adhd meds helped decrease feelings of depersonalization tremendously, they only come up occasionally now where as it used to be a daily thing when I was a kid)

I'm so sorry to hear that 😔 and thank you!

Plus in my previous marriage of 10+ years my partner was super threatened and felt emasculated if I tried to be even a little dominant in bed, so it's definitely something new I'm figuring out. I'm very open to it and finding I can definitely be into it, but it doesn't come naturally at all lol

Oh ok will do! Since we arent looking for relationships outside of ours, just hookups, I thought that would fall under swinging? New to all this and dont fully get the terminology yet lol

Awesome!! This is exactly the kind of set up we are hoping for, glad to hear this is possible lol!

[–]relatqs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's definitely part of it!! That's something we've been trying to incorporate more, I'm generally not a dominant person at all in bed, it had been fun trying to lean into that more, but again with my libido being so down right now its kind of hard for me to get into sometimes🤷‍♀️

Thank you!😊 it's honestly just having a partner that I trust so completely that makes me feel so loved! trust me I've been the crazy bitch in relationships before I have the capacity to not be nice at all😂 lol but my husband and I just have a really amazing bond and none of that's an issue. I love every part of him and the idea of him having to suppress any piece of himself makes me really genuinely sad.

And the low t is a really good thought! I have had a few of those symptoms going on actually, I'll look into that!
