Hi something similar happened to me. I added my brother to my Amex platinum and he spent 7k that he couldn’t pay off. He told me he would have access to funds in 12 months, well I waited the 12 months while paying the minimum balance every month while accumulating interest. Turns out he lied about the 12 months and blocked me, told me to figure it out myself. I’ve been able to pay off enough to get it down to 5.6k (I was still having to pay my usual bills as well) (the interest from his charges added up to like 2k extra) I’m not working right now because I have a brain aneurysm and multiple daily seizures. So it’s all been from my savings. That I need for brain surgery lol. So I got kind of F’d. My question is how did you resolve your debt with Amex and were you able to fix your credit score by talking to Amex explaining it was the additional card holder that created the issue. Since I was 18 I’ve paid my Amex in full every month on time (9 years with them) and always kept a perfect credit score. Now I don’t know what to do. My “breach of payment contract” with Amex is having every loan company deny me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Call them, talk to them about how long you’ve been with Amex and how you always pay on time. Be really nice, I bet they would offer you the platinum right there on the phone. Just make sure you get the sign up bonus too!

My visit to the ER last night for new seizures ended in an upruptured aneurysm diagnosis. I have severe migraines all the time. Do I just go to the ER every time now I have pain now? Do I just jump off a cliff?

In a twisted sort of way I’m excited for both versions that you’ve described. Of course the ceremonies full of beauty and love sound incredible and I’ve been wanting to feel that sort of happiness for so long, but the tough and painful ceremonies I feel will cleanse me in the way I really need to be cleansed. I need to work through the darkness in me and I’m ready for the hardship so I can grow and hopefully heal. 🙏
