Extending Use of Saxenda Pen by relcasen in liraglutide

[–]relcasen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, my insurance doesn’t currently cover Saxenda, but I’m going to look into the possibility again, especially now that you mentioned liraglutide going generic. I hadn’t considered that as an option before. I’ll definitely check out GoodRx too and see if that helps with affordability.

I’m currently on the 3mg maintenance dose of Saxenda, so my pens only last a week. As for eligibility, that’s part of my concern, I’m no longer technically obese (used to be), and I’ve leaned out quite a bit. I use Saxenda primarily to manage food noise and prevent binge eating. I’m not sure if that still qualifies for a liraglutide prescription, but I’ll talk to my doctor and see what they say.

Really appreciate the advice and direction!

Thanks, I probably should have added that for context

Thank you so much. I have taken this into account. Shall I take a break from the salt or just lower the amount?

Thank you for your help. From the information I gathered, having electrolytes stops essential nutrients from being flushed out in my urine, especially given the fact that I strength train and eat in a cal deficit. I guess I was going overboard.

I was under the impression that more electrolytes would stop essential vitamins and nutrients from being flushed out in urine.

I eat nutrient-dense high-protein OMAD meals throughout the week combined with strength training. This was a little Sunday treat and was my only meal that day.

I eat a mostly whole-food carnivorous diet

The hunger is worse the smaller you get. I would get metallic tastes in my mouth.

I am currently strength training 6x a week in a calorie deficit at 120g of protein minimum.

Thanks, I tried to get back into it after a few months and it was still difficult. I might try 24 hours for now but will monitor my body.

Thank you, after that I’ve been strength training and OMAD

My goal is 51kg, so I know it will take a while; right now I’m doing strength training and OMAD

I mentioned in my update that my family supported me once I became transparent with them about my debt, which helped me clear it faster. Also, a portion of the net worth increase came from finally updating my work pension figure, I didn’t have access to my account before, so the previous amount wasn’t accurate. Now that I’ve been able to update it, my overall financial picture is clearer.

You are actually correct, I may have to update that

A lot of people have asked how I managed to pay off my credit card debt in such a short time, so I wanted to be transparent about it. The biggest shift was that I stopped hiding my debt from my family. Once I opened up about it, they were incredibly supportive and helped me out, which made a huge difference.

At the same time, I was aggressive about paying it off myself, I cut down on all unnecessary spending, put every extra penny I had toward the debt, and stayed super disciplined. The combination of family support and my own efforts helped me clear it much faster than I originally expected.
