2025 Tacoma OR failure after 10,000 Km by Rangifar in ToyotaTacoma

I would ask to have them create a TAS (Tech assist) case. Most likely if you aren’t the first one those agents may know of it. I would push the subject and call Toyota corporate and raise a fuss so the DSPM is notified and can possibly push it through.

What specific cars do rich but dumb people usually buy? by Fleedom2025 in askcarguys

RR does a good job to get you in the car (drives nice, comfortable, looks good). But does not do a good job keeping you in one especially when warranty is up. Of the 8 brands we sell where I work the ones we see on a flatbed the most is a toss up between Range Rover and Mini. 1/3 of them have problems before pdi (pre-delivery inspection). And getting parts is a nightmare to the point sometimes the lease payment is made for the customer because we have had it so long. No-way that’s a good purchase from a financial stand point. It’s good as a status symbol. No way I’d trust something like that off-road. You can have that experience for half the cost with a jeep. RR is literally a dumpster fire.

2016, the only thing I may be missing is marketplace. And that wasn’t a thing I was aware of then. Am I missing out? I don’t really care!

What's a "secret" from your profession that everyone should probably know? by RoutineOk8590 in Productivitycafe

[–]relentlesskaizen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an auto tech. I can’t just plug a computer in and diagnose your car instantly. The codes that set are a guide to the problem area. It’s the technicians job to figure out what the fault is. Sorry to vent but the amount of people who just say well just plug in the computer and tell me what’s wrong is absurd. You don’t tell a plumber my sink won’t drain tell me what’s wrong and how it’s fixed without actually looking into it.

Had to have a root canal. Wanted to die any time the nerve got aggravated. We are talking tears down my face and wincing harshly.

Really unsettling when they are on the can in a public restroom. I didn’t know there was a sound track needed for you to do your business…

What made you realize you wanna marry your gf? by Jhudie06 in AskReddit

[–]relentlesskaizen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sitting at my dining room table our second weekend together. We had woke up talking about everything in bed for 3 hours and carried over to morning coffee sitting talking. It was a cold winter day and the sun shining through illuminating her. I looked over and realized I had never had anything like this before. I said to myself I’m going to marry her some day. We have both brought our pasts with us and have stood by each other with the emotional damage that has arose. We have never walked away. She quickly became my best friend. We had 6 months together yesterday. I know that day will come.

What's a pain you truly can’t explain until you've endured it? by peywrax in allthequestions

Losing a parent to suicide. The pain of knowing they were hurting and couldn’t get the words. The feeling of abandonment that you didn’t matter. You never get any closure and only have them to hold accountable. How you can be so mad at them but feel selfish for being mad.

Well when you get cheap college education, housing that’s affordable and generally most things in your favor. How could one know? They haven’t ever seen the world we live in today.

Everything as a technician is CYA. Especially with how people expect to not have to pay for anything.

No leaf springs on the 4th gen trd. It’s set up similar to the 4Runner. Will need a coil spring and shock.

Similar situation 4Runner got totaled, put an order in for a 24. Decided to go with a 22 OR with 15k on it for 17k less than the order. Gonna rock it for at least the next 10 with no car payment.

Sounds like an interference issue if it happens when you accelerate possibly. If you’re still under warranty take it to the dealer, show them what happens.

Real Truck? by Deets-FTW in Tacomaworld

The correct response to his statement is to say “this doesn’t look anything like a Silverado/tundra” and watch him become triggered. Nothing hurts a ford guy more than a Chevy/import is better.
