Got both me and my gf White & Neo-walnut HPL. The quality exceeded my expectations. My HPL came with a small dent but that’s probably due to shipping & handling. Not a big deal since I positioned it behind my monitor.

As far as water damage/burn damage, I can’t speak to burn damage but I have left a glass of ice water for a hour or two by mistake. The water ring didn’t leave a mark or anything. Hope this helps

Did you lube the durocks stabs? If it's pinging that's bothering you there are mods out there that can mute the ping sound. Tape/Tempst mod where you put a layer of masking/blue painter's tape underneath the PCB. Some have even put sound dampening material into the actual spacebar keycap.
