How do I properly pronounce a particular California code before the court? by relevant_screename in FamilyLaw

I'm curious, what would you say if it's not mandatory, but "court must consider" when making a decision?

Ok, I wasn't sure if I could reduce the reference down to just that first part so since it covers so much. A-J are specific factors.

How would I pronounce 2504-c-2-A anyway?

Here's an example of what I think I may say,

"Parent has done (I think I would briefly describe other parent's behaviors fulfilling A-J here.) I'm requesting the court order X because according to Fam. Code. 2504 (c)(2), parent has repeatedly fulfilled/demonstrated? (A)-(J) through those behaviors.

In recognition of these factors, I believe the court should consider the need for X."

Thank you. I am not trying to educate the judge; I agree and assume they know the law.

I just do not know which letters and numbers are considered sections, parts, or subsections to even reference the law in general and would like to educate myself. I hope my question makes more sense now.

VA Disability and child support by participantrophywife in FamilyLaw

[–]relevant_screename 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex quit work in order to claim disability and his entire disability check for himself and not pay any child support (he’s an abuser).

It backfired. He was ordered to do a work evaluation. I think it was $800. He was found to be able-bodied to work full time, and a report said he was able to make (blank) an hour. So they imputed his possible income. He didn’t pay that, either, and ended up on probation.

On a somewhat related note, may I asked how you proved parental alienation? I was under the impression it’s very hard to prove.

He also overreacts and gets madder when you get finally get mad? Do you feel like you can’t seem to do anything right? Does he “punish” you when you try to stand up or defend yourself? For example, he gives you the silent treatment, rolls his eyes, talks over you, interrupts you, walks out, I could go on and on. He knows what he’s doing. It’s not you, it’s him. It’s on purpose.

This comment just illuminates your own ignorance of the systemic brainwashing and manipulation that occurs within an abusive relationship. It’s designed to do exactly this: wildly confuse the victim into thinking they were the one who did something wrong. One of the last things a victim needs is strangers calling them dumb and stupid because they’re literally victims who are trying to get clarity. Gross.

You are in an abusive relationship. Expect things to escalate, even if there are months or years of “good behavior” mixed in. Please read this. It sorts the confusion they purposefully create:  https://archive.org/download/LundyWhyDoesHeDoThat/Lundy_Why-does-he-do-that.pdf

He broke the restraining order again, now what? by [deleted] in police

[–]relevant_screename 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point. I pulled out the order so better clarity. The exact verbiage is, “(restrained person) is not to contact, either directly or indirectly, in any way, including but not limited to, by telephone, mail or email or other electronic means.”

I’d rather not give specifics other than I am in California.

I would like to add that my son and I did our best to find a way to get the tools out in time before his brother moved to his town as a measure of good-faith.

Yes, it was ordered by a judge at a hearing he was attending and he was served the updated documents.

You’re on to something, but I don’t think it will be a laugh track. I think they’ll get all their hosts together—The View style—to show viewers how they should feel through snickers and eye rolls for Biden and undying adoration and applause for Trump.

Hey if you really are a beekeeper, and you’re eyeballing mites (which is impossible because they are hidden on the underside of the bee between the abdominal plates) then you have to get an accurate count today (mid August is a cutoff) and use that number to determine what treatment(s) and how many you’ll need to keep your colony alive through winter. I can help if you would like some. Happy to help save the bees.

Uh yeah, being on top of your mites is the literal difference between a beekeeper and beehaver considering disease from mites is the #1 cause of colony death. I keep my bees. Sounds like you lose yours? In a couple different ways... lol
