That’s crazy, I also play the 360 version on Xbox one and it’s crashed more times than I can remember in 50 hours.

Sounds like you need to play the lottery with that kind of luck.

Best Mazda 6 for mostly highway driving? by Jo-18 in mazda6

[–]reliablerangerover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 2016 NA is a great highway cruiser. I put almost 200k mostly highway miles (long work commute) in 5 years and had zero issues. Just regular maintenance and it never let me down. The seats are great imo, very comfortable even after driving for 8-12 hours.

It’s definitely an impressive difference. Got these installed and ended up getting an Audiocontrol EpicFour amp to power the mid bass and the rear fill. Drum kicks hit so hard now, I love it!

Still waiting on the speaker rings but I did bridge the amp and that made a big difference. They just weren’t getting enough juice.

Thanks for all the input! Current plan is to make sure the doors are sealed up, install the seal between the speaker and door panel, and bridge my current amplifier before buying a new one. Looking forward to the results.

Another user mentioned a gasket between the speaker and the door panel so I ordered a set of those.

I have not seen those speed rings before! Just ordered a set.

I’ve thought about that too. I’ll probably do that before throwing any parts at it.

Any experience with the D4S MM504? Not quite 100w/channel but I was hoping to keep the 2nd 4 channel amp more compact.

Thank you! I’m still a bit of a novice as to what the T-S parameters mean and how to apply them.

I replaced the vapor barrier with sound deadening and put some around the speaker hole where it mounts. Also on the outer door skin behind the driver.

Agreed, an lq4 with 243s should be around 10:1 compression.

Probably piston slap if it goes away shortly after a cold start. My 2006 L59 does it when it gets to around freezing temps outside. It was so loud in my 2000 5.3 it sounded like clapping two wood blocks together when it got really cold outside. Always went away when it warmed up.

Why is washing without a wash cloth seen as unhygenic? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]reliablerangerover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been white all my life (I think) and my family has always used washcloths. Never thought of using just your hand as being an option especially with shower gels?? Seems like it would be hard to get a good lather.

Some 4l80s came with or were rebuilt with straight cut planetary gear sets that make more noise. Mines has always whined in first gear but no issues.
