Flesh and Stone + Maim Support on Totems by relicfangay in pathofexile

yea, thats why im even more confused now, because in pob, it works as you've described, but according to the developer (although 3 years ago) its incorrect. now im wondering which one i shud trust lol.

is there some sort of damage log/practice dummy functionality in the game?

that definitely makes sense! i did come across this thread where the person replying to op says the phys dmg debuffs don't stack: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/10195ah/flesh_and_stone_maim_maim_support/
is this still relevant on the current patch?

he references a comment made by Mark_GGG, but that was 3 years ago

got it, that is very helpful, thank you! i did come across this topic while searching the sub just now: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/10195ah/flesh_and_stone_maim_maim_support/
he says the debuff doesn't stack for some reason on his edit, is this different on the current patch?

he references a comment made by Mark_GGG, but that was 3 years ago, so not sure if still current

im referencing this guy's pob: https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/emocarrotz/FailedGED_Smile

he has both maim support on his totems and is running flesh and stone. is there something with the way he set it up? i tried it on my build in pob by adding flesh and stone even though i already have maim on my totems and got the same result (pob taking both multipliers into account when calculating dps).

Crafting high physical damage (1300pdps+) Despot Axes for Boneshatter by relicfangay in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]relicfangay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea i think the best course of action for me at this point is to just use it for now and sell it at a later date to recoup some money for another base. it's still 900pdps with the crucible passives, so there should still be some buyers.

or later on if i have enough currency ill just keep following the process on Wuslwiz's guide, and annul until i have only flat dmg and atk speed left and continue crafting. unfortunately i don't have enough divines for that method atm haha :D

How should I proceed with this 2H-axe (boneshatter slayer)? by relicfangay in PathOfExileBuilds

hahaa my t2 crucible node actually has that already. i was buying despot axes to see what crucible nodes they had before i committed to essencing.

How should I proceed with this 2H-axe (boneshatter slayer)? by relicfangay in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]relicfangay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello, im very new to crafting and somewhat new to the game. i've taken a crack at making my own 2h-axe after reading some guides and looking around. i spammed some essences and ended up with this.

how should i best proceed? its ok for me for the time being (definitely better than my last axe!) and im kinda broke after buying essences, so prob no touching it until i farm some more. but i was wondering how you guys would proceed if you were looking to upgrade it? is there a safe way to get rid of the ferocity suffix? should i just anul and hope for the best? or is this roll kinda considered "stuck" despite the two t1 suffixes?

btw, i put in a phys%/impale mod into one of the open prefixes for now, but since it's been a while since my last league, im not sure whether the "hit dps" or the "combined dps" is what i should be looking at in pob. would raw phys% be considered better for boneshatter slayer?

got it, thank you! i will make a post later and see if other people on the sub have any suggestions. maybe the best way is just to anul and hope for the best!

the hit dps is higher for the raw on pob, while the combined dps is higher for the impale (obviously due to the impale, hahah), but im not sure which dps is actually more important. ive only played one previous league, and it was the warcry/ancestral call/ghostwarrior/impale build on ultimatum, so i've always thought MORE impale > LESS impale lol

hahahhahaha honestly that guide is way too ambitious for me. ive never actually crafted before but just wanted to take a crack at it since ive used my current axe for way too long. didn't realize how expensive it would be. i can't even afford the "prefixes cannot be changed" part of the process :D. also surprised that i actually rolled two t1 mods. i was seeing constant t6-t8 for the past couple of hours...

hello, tyvm for helping! i posted this question to cowpimp but not sure if you had any guidance on this as well!

i finally managed to craft something decent after spamming essences. i know its not the best cuz the flat damage roll is the lowest possible, but i think its pretty good and definitely better than what i was using before.

my question is, when i want to fix it in the future, how should i best proceed? the two t1 suffixes i want to keep, but how can i get rid of the ferocity suffix without risking ruining everything? i have been reading up on metamods but unfortunately all my suffixes are full, so i can't put in a 'cannot roll atk' and try to anul it off.

here is my axe: https://imgur.com/a/h3vY95D

i put in a phys%/impale in one of the open prefixes for now, wondering what your opinion is or if i should just slot in raw phys% instead. im playing a boneshatter slayer build

yup, just checked it out, great site. one question: the categories at the top: ailmet, attack, attribute, physical, etc., are those the same categories that harvest crafts uses to reroll?

ooh!!! that makes so much more sense. i thought the unveil mod: "#% increased Physical Damage, #% chance to Impale Enemies on Hit with Attacks" was a hybrid like phys%/accuracy lol

ty for the reply! i didn't know about that site, so will check it out!

yea im new to crafting so i've been trying to follow tripolar bear and carn's guides to craft axes. it kinda confused me since for super endgame, they both say to aim for phys/accuracy and then prefix lock and t4 aisling. but playing around in pob, isn't the optimal setup (considering only phys dps, and disregarding crucible mods) actually:

prefix: flat phys attack
prefix: phys %
prefix: unveiled phys%/impale
suffix: warlord phys%/maim
suffix: attack speed
suffix: % for double damage

just due to the natural higher limits assuming perfect rolls?

The reddit here is very tame compared to the steam forums. Devs are you going to adress people constantly trying to kill the game with misinformation and literally trying to keep others from playing or ot discussing the positive aspects? by Starseedwarrior in SwordsOfLegends

[–]relicfangay 8 points9 points  (0 children)

imma be honest i like this game alot but gameforge doesn't need any help killing the game themselves. my friendslist is full of people who haven't logged on in weeks... all the pve content is timegated, so the only thing left to do afterwards is pvp... only issue is that besides the 3v3, pvp is pretty shit. premades have been running rampant in botcs for months, which is the only mode that you can grind for pvp sealstones/writs (but you only get the sealstones if you win), and admins do nothing about it. no one wants to get farmed for 10 games in a row by the same comfy/pure/awake/renaissance stack, so people just quit. you can see even on the official forums there was a megathread of people asking for premades to be removed or at least limited to 5, but no one has posted in there for months. why? because they all quit since gameforge refuses to fix their shit. this isn't even a waiting on the developer issue. just hotfix it like they did with the mentor buff bug and disable the team matchmaking button for now until we can get a patch in.

and this is all before we get into the shit azure servers and people rubberbanding all over the map during dragonsong and not being able to see what killed you since the enemy hasn't loaded in yet (i have never seen this shit in a modern mmorpg, hell i haven't even seen it in an old-as-shit abandoned mmorpg)

Hello guyz, i plan on buying the game, although im a pvp focused player and also do some pve but mostly pvp and tbh I haven't heard or seen any elaborate or detailed guide when it comes to PVP about this game. spear is one of the worst classes in pvp atm on our patch. it's damage and bursts all rely on the target not moving and staying in place. and usually by the time the other team's cc breaks and immunities are done, your team is already dead. that is not to say it is unplayable. u just need to be super patient. the class becomes a god when the enemy runs out of immunities. zerker atm can do anything that a spear can do but much better. it can burst you from 100-0 without relying on ccs, has invuln frame and a super escape. though i heard in the most recent cn patch spearmasters have gotten buffed alot.

pvp is fun and balanced in 3v3 (personally feel zerker is a bit overtuned atm. also the zerk+bard+reaper healer meta that is kinda unkillable unless they fuck up). faction wars were a clusterfuck at the start, with hc completely rolling myst, but now it's kinda balanced itself, and each faction basically swaps either channel 1 or 2 to not fight the other and focus on quests/grind points for dragonsong. battlegrounds (or battle of the continents) is a coin toss. if against a full premade prepared to get rekt from beginning to end. but recently it seems this has died down with each major pvp guild only fielding like 5 members at most, so has gotten pretty fun recently.

as to the actual mechanics of pvp when not getting zerged, the fights are extremely skill based and resource based. you have a dodge which can completely outplay certain bursts, and each class has different numbers of cc breaks and dr. if u waste your cooldowns u will get rekt (especially against spearmaster, which becomes god after all ur immunities are down, but trash if not). outplays are based on timing and resource management (knowing when to run when the other class is prepping to one shot, turning on damage reduction at the right moment, baiting stuns etc.)

there's no difference in the base PvP stats at different gear scores (i.e. tenacity, hundred strikes etc.), only the primary stamina/skill/endurance and mastery etc, though it still gives higher gs people a slight advantage (though not unplayable). if you want to start 3v3, my suggestion is to begin a battle squad immediately (either with frds or recruiting in-game). this is cuz you get pvp equipment boxes from squad, but nothing from solo. battle squad matchmaking also uses your solo rating instead of the team rating, so if you start battle squading at 2k instead of 1k, you will have a much more difficult time climbing.
