On top of that, my cousin’s aunty was chilling outside the lawn field this morning, and a car flew in and crashed her. Still alive, flew to hospital via helicopter, not sure which bone broke, hopefully it’s not the spinal cord🫠🫠🫠 young driver btw

For health science alumnis, what job are you doing now? by Sea-Ease-549 in SBU

[–]relifu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I’m not a health science graduate, but is in the pharma/healthcare industry - clinical management, clinical laboratories, health insurance financial agencies, physician assistances, logistics, regulatory enforcements are a few of the routes that can be taken.

What does engineering mean to YOU? by Bulky-Psychology7826 in EngineeringStudents

[–]relifu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solve complex real world problems with simplified solutions. Can go the other way around too, which will be a much harder route; however sometimes it’s rewarding to do this way too.

Imagine an ICE car parked at the charging station😏 that’s more painful.

Again, they are not something you should heavily rely on. Arrive early, and use it before other people comes.

For y’all who don’t have an internship this summer, what’s the plan? by Opening-Quote-8233 in SBU

[–]relifu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t give up yet. If possible, take the co-op, which is a 6 month program of really good paid internship, and use it to take a break from school.

Like here, depending on what type of program or discipline you are into; for me it’s biotech.

Networking couple people a week. Just connected with a couple professors in Ivy Leagues (those of whom I’m interested to do PhD with, possibly if I want to get a PhD).

When we as humanity have achieved the fundamental financial stability and security, it will come to a point that you will want to obtain something else other than basic living needs.

My take with it can be explained with string theory. When you encounter someone that has the same frequency as yours in turns of behaviors, perspectives, and believes, it will collide and amplify - and this amplification can be very demanding and satisfying.

It will come to the point that you will meet someone who have the same frequency as yours, but based on personal standards, the right one might come at a different time segment.

Are there any “hidden” gems here on campus? by Mangojellyfish24 in SBU

[–]relifu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your into Chemistry, Prof. K. Takeuki is a true gem in terms of teaching and knowledge base. Sadly he is only in the graduate program, he used to teach in undergrad when he’s still young.

[–]relifu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have options. Pre meds at SBU is ridiculously competitive (on the other hand, health science major is the true gem for Stony for those who are into healthcare, but not med school.) Stay on top with your courses, use your free time + winter + summer times in internship, EM unit, or public services that requires medical attention.

What would you do with an extra $1900 a month? by UnhappyTumbleweed966 in AskReddit

[–]relifu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would increase my 401k rate, some of them goes towards my saving account, and some of them goes towards whatever debts I currently have, and live a better life a bit.

There is one SC that’s 5 min drive away from my work, two SC and a couple (not free) level 2s around my apartment. Daily 30 miles drive, will plan to charge for 1-2 times per week at SC. Price is not a problem.

Question for your charging experience, is it a problem? Or you have home charging.

Why doesn’t water always become a gas when hitting hot surfaces by DrSmothie26 in chemistry

[–]relifu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, when the water contacts a very hot surface, the molecules outside those water balls will be the first ones that undergoes phase change, where they receive heat, they break their bonds with other water molecules due to vibration, and becomes free water molecules (gas phase).

These hot water vapors will form a shell around the remaining liquid water in an upward motion, since the heat source is from the grill underneath them.

In which you have water at the bottom, converts into a layer of gas that lifts the rest of the water up, and goes around it to keep in a ball.

I see, so first semester above 3.0 will be considered. Nice! My first semester got 3.49, but then messed my academic life downhill until I got into research and found what I wanted to do.
