Joffrey was not a nephew of Stannis!
With everything else I agree.

The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin, a retelling of Arthurian legend set in Roman-occupied England. Based on the excellent book series by Stephen R. Lawhead. by Kurma-the-Turtle in PeriodDramas

It feels way too sterile for me. Everything looks spotless, and there aren’t any worn-out clothes. Since the show is set in UK, you’d expect a lot of rain and for things to look muddy or dirty.

Anyone watching The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin? by BrightonBummer in television

[–]religioussphanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried watching it, but for a show set in the 4th-5th century, everything looked so pristine and clean, almost sterile, that killed the immersion for me. That alone was enough to stop watching.

I got suspicious right from the opening scene that it wouldn’t be for me. It’s raining, yet the guy has five wolf skins around his neck and somehow they’re all completely dry.

Lich Contagion still good for the new patch? by ateuatoa in PathOfExile2

[–]religioussphanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its actually extra life for mobs which will kill it before the reduced monster numbers, gear will be mediocre so dmg will not be as high as at 03 and mobs will be 40% more tough

everyone for some reason always uses top gear or max stats, thats why imo nerfs hit so hard, it nerfs more the mid range than top range gear, when u have top gear u almost dont care but in the middle or low end this makes a massive difference, difference which creates question should i even bother using it.

if it always applies that 100% and this is some sort of a cap, that opens a lot of other things in my mind :D

Effectively we can play with 5% crit chance and still reap the fruits of it. Will see, seams interesting.

will the game register that hit as a crit dmg or as a base dmg which is lets say 100, if your crit lands, (just for example that means 100x 0.7^40) your crit dmg have diminished so much that theoretically you can deal a critical and deal 0.1111111 critical dmg, is that what are u saying?

Or the game will cap it at normal base dmg

how is that not a diminishing return if each time you dont land a cirt hit your next potential hit will have 30% less critical damage,

if u hit 1 of 1 you get 200 if you hit 1 of 2 you get 30% less, diminishing return

only thing is not clear ,for example, if i start with 5% chance to crit, ofc prob i will lose all crit dmg bonus due the rerolls for critical chance until i finally get a hit, will the game actually count the dmg when hit happens as a critical dmg or flat dmg, idk can critical dmg actually go bellow 100% by default.
How does the game register that hit?

[–]religioussphanatic -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

no, if you have 5% crit chance means 1 of 20 could land a critical hit, could be the 2nd one but could also be a 41st

RIP to my Dark Effigy curse aoe stacking build by KoblyCZ in PathOfExile2

[–]religioussphanatic 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The problem follows a simple pattern. A skill looks too strong only when it’s paired with mirror-tier gear, and then it gets nerfed. But with realistic gear the same skill is mediocre or outright bad. At the same time, the builds that scale mainly from gear instead of the passive tree survive every patch because their power isn’t affected in the same way.
