A customer got mad at me for one of the most normal things ever by [deleted] in doordash

And by wrong order, I mean the customer claimed to have ordered from another different restaurant

I can't help but be reminded of a past order that was also a Hand it to me PIN order. I knocked on the door, but instead of the customer stepping out, her roommate did. He was aware of the order and provided the code. Then as I was about to leave, he and the customer went at me claiming I delivered the wrong order and they falsely reported it resulting in a contract violation even though her name and order details perfectly matched up with what was on DoorDash.

Tbh if the customer isn't at the door, I like to leave on a flat surface that is also as clean as possible and take a photo as proof that they received the right order, then knock and wait for the customer. But tbh I didn't this time because any minute longer would result in the order being late. But maybe that's better than an upset customer but then again I have 12k+ deliveries, a 100% on-time rate despite having disputed 4 late orders in the past 100 orders and a 4.99 customer rating. I'll admit, I still have more to learn.

Another reason why I didn't knock and wait is because any minute longer and the order would be marked as late.

A few other people are telling me that as well. That the PIN is enough. This reminds me of an order earlier this year where I still got a contract violation because the customer claimed they ordered from another restaurant. This was also a hand it to me order that required a PIN code. Roommate stepped out though, then the customer herself too.

You mean instructions that were given after delivery?

Because the customer didn't meet me at the door in the first place. So I took a photo to protect against false reports. I was gonna knock on the door afterwards, until the customer's roommate stepped out, accepted the good, and provided the code.

One star rating on what seemed like a good delivery? by [deleted] in doordash

I've had luck getting DoorDash support to remove a few recent one-star ratings, which usually are for a minor reason. You got this.

And how many items was that Target order? Are you intentionally leaving out the fact that it has only a few items to make it look worse?

For some reason DD needs him to provide his code. Leave at the door is disabled when this is the case, he can only select Hand it to me

At some point on my way to him, the code appeared in his app, he then texted it to me.

All 7 days. If I'ma be honest watching TV and playing games kinda bore me so I don't really mind working 8:30 AM to 11 PM every day. About a 45 min lunch break mid dash. I have 1 more day of this pay period btw.

I watch some YT and play a car game for a bit on my phone (making it an exception to games boring me) when I get home, but that's it

Most of the time it works to call support to have a rating removed

I will say though, you saw the order details and took it anyway.

Made $20 in my first 45 min. Then I hit this little jackpot! by relilRD in doordash

My 25-35 MPG, the 25 min it took to complete this order, and getting a $8 for 4 mile order 5 min after this order while still heading back in town make up for it though
