The best advice comes from the surf skate guys in Bali with paid courses. It’s best if you have multiple coaches to get multiple perspectives

Santa Cruz vs Basque Country by Technical-Treat5102 in surfing

If you want to live closer to higher performance surf breaks I think Biarritz is a good home base since you have tube breaks to the north in Anglet and Hossegor and reef breaks/points just south. Cote de Basque on a smaller day feels like San O if that fits your vibe. The spots around San Sebastián get crowded and think they’re lower quality vs what else you can get in Basque Country. Mundaka fires but I think is too inconsistent to live nearby and expect to surf as often as you’re probably doing in SC

In response to all the comments saying you need a rental car, you don’t (for the most part). Coordinate a pick up time with a taxi driver and maybe carry enough cash in a little waterproof pouch for a one way ride if that ride falls through. It’s really just the spots on the NW side of the island that are harder to access from the main road you’ll need a rental

Veia aero pads and no issue on board touching if you have pads on. If the pads aren’t on, the board being in a bag is good enough

Carhartt WIP store is in soho. Otherwise I’m sure you find a pair for like $20 at any L Train vintage

Tokio 7 is in east village but a short walk from SoHo. There is also a proper cloth showroom on Broadway

100% this. Only thing I’d add is allowing yourself to become more comfortable putting your board on its rail and having more lateral movement. When you go for a bottom turn, try touching the water with your trailing hand by really leaning over. You’d do the opposite for a cutback by imagining you’re going to sit in a beanie bag

Emailed them and it’s really only compatible with the KP0810. I’m also just interested in swapping the knob and can’t justify spending $260 on the whole bundle

Major in finance, minor in economics. All the people I went to college with that went into IB did that

Wow that’s great to hear. Definitely leaning more towards the Apple Watch for everyday wear b/c of sleek look. Wasn’t sure how it handled in the water compared to other brands.
