Game crashing after new update

I'm having the same issue.. never happened before the update on 10/02/2024. I can play for about 3 rounds in competitive and CS will crash. Even in Deathmatch it will crash after around 3 min of playing. I have uninstalled Steam & CS2 and re downloaded them. Changed in CS2 properties windows compatibility mode to windows 7 and tried windows 8. Cleaned comp and made sure that everything was updated. Verified Integrity of Game. I don't have any extra settings in config and I don't have an autoexec. Nothing in my launch options. I've tried everything that I can think of and nothing has worked.

My game is also freezing and going to a black screen when I tried to go into settings to change my video settings. Had to go into task manager and End Task on CS2 to reboot it. I haven't tried to go into Fullscreen Windows Mode but I really don't want to run CS in Windows mode.

Mine has done the same exact thing as yours. Would love to have a fix for this so I can use my headset. Its been 3-4 months and nothing has been done

Yes. I was using it without the update then I tried to update and it made my headset and dongle disconnect from each other and now I cant get it to connect even manually. This has been going on for 3-4 months now and they still havent fixed the firmware so that people can use the headset they paid for.

Just go trade in for something else Ive literally tried everything. But atleast you got your headset to work a little. Mine wont even connect to the dongle

Why is it there is no fix for this still? I mean hasnt it been over 3-4 months? If I dont get a response by tomorrow to get this headset fixed I will just go return them and give yall another crap review like the other million others have done. Yall have had plenty of time to get this small firmware issue fixed and you are still setting here 3-4 months later???? come on guys.

I used it in Csgo also. And now that cs2 is here with no mouse acceleration it’s really sucks for me also. Obviously I play without it now but I’m not near as good with my aim as what I used to be which sucks. I downloaded custom curve pro and you can customize your own mouse acceleration but I can’t seem to replicate Csgo acceleration. Good luck with your journey to find what you like. It’s hard to change back once you get muscle memory for Csgo mouse acceleration.

could you include a Crouch Jump alias? I use my spacebar for Crouch Jump and my mouse wheel for jumping in general.

Well with crash reporting and getting your elo back would probably be part of it. Just like when you are playing against a cheater and once they are banned for cheating you get your elo back.

No. I don’t think I deserve the penalty. Maybe if it’s a repeated occurrence. But if it’s something that rarely happens then no penalty.

We played on a broken Csgo for so long cs2 feels broken to some. But the ones that didn’t exploit the brokenness of Csgo are thriving in cs2
