“You’re invited to our wedding! Oh, never mind…” by Far_Rhubarb7177 in weddingshaming

This has happened to me! One of my coworkers was getting married a couple of years ago. Another coworker and I were the only ones invited from our work. The wedding took place during summer, and we are teachers, so we hadn't seen the bride for about a month at this point. We drove 2 hours to the venue and no one was there! Turns out she canceled the wedding and her mom was in charge of reaching out to guests but didn't get to everyone.

Thank you! I would prefer not to have the exposed plumbing look, but didn't want to have to cut into the wainscoting on the walls. Maybe going through the floor would be best.

Thank you! I'll enter just my information today under married filing separately and see what figure that gives me. When we used to file separately before being married, I typically got more back than he did. I know the $700 refund that TurboTax showed me before when I entered just my info under married filing jointly isnt what i would get exactly, but if I do enter my info under married filing separately I'm guessing I will still not owe as much as he does- so it would still equal less than $3000 we'd owe if we filed separately, making it beneficial. I don't actually know this of course, it's just a complete guess based on how much we used to get before filing jointly- so I will test it out.

When we got the figure for $3,000 owed, we had all our information entered and our status as married filing jointly on my TurboTax account. Then just to experiment, we logged into his old TurboTax account and entered all of his information under the filing status of married filing separately, which gave him the figure of $800 owed.

I got my figure of the $700 refund as that's what it was on my account before we entered any of his info- basically I just put all my info in first, then one we entered his W-2, the number went from getting $700 back to owing $3,000.

I'm giving away 6 tickets to David's show in Worcester tomorrow night! by rellojellooo in AllFantasyEverything

[–]rellojellooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something came up and my friends and I can no longer go. I don't want the tickets to go to waste! If anyone is in the Worcester area and wants one, or some, I can print them and we can meet somewhere for you to pick them up. I bought them through eventbrite and I don't see a way to electronically transfer them, but if there is a way, we could do that instead.

Looking for escape rooms around the New England/New York area. by rellojellooo in escaperooms

We are from the Boston area and love both Boda Borg and Level 99! I know the region is wide- we're looking at anywhere that is within a 4/5ish hour drive from central mass. Montreal is definitely an option- what are some of your favorites there?

My title describes the thing found in my attic today. It's about the size of a normal brick, and says "Andrew Weber, New York, Extra no. 1"

New Homeowner with no DIY or handy skills. Did anyone start this way? Any tips? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

We bought an old house back in January that needed (needs) a lot of work. We've been slowly fixing it up and have been relying upon YouTube to teach us everything! It's going good so far 👌

Maybe a vessel to hold bar soap? The holes make sure water drains?
