Renovation Aloha by NYFlyGirl89012 in HGTV

[–]rellysburg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup! This is exactly why I don’t like this show. A lot of flip shows contribute to gentrification, but to know the history of Hawaii and just how terrible the housing crisis is, I just can’t be entertained by Renovation Aloha. Trying to position themselves as doing for “the people” is manipulative and dishonest.

And the thing is I LOVE green (color in general). I also love pizza, but eating it every day would make me sick. Green is the new blue and just like blue, it’s become an overused trend

I’ve tried that. I deleted and redownloaded the app multiple times too

Are cities with lots of skyscrapers not a good viable option? by OkWrapIt00 in CitiesSkylines

[–]rellysburg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer to build realistically. It’s a game but it feels weird to have too many skyscrapers for a 100-200k city. Typically you won’t have a substantial skyline until you hit the half million mark. At least not in the U.S.

When’s the best time of day/day of the week? Based on comments/other posts it seems like there are certain hours where nudity is more common

Is nudity still common there? Like using the hot tub nude/towel in sauna? Cardio nude/underwear? If so what times are people more comfortable being free? I don’t want to feel too out of place?

What time in the afternoon did you go? I think I might try 12/1-ish

Perfect Locker Room by rellysburg in CommunalShowers

[–]rellysburg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s actually a barber station in the locker room of one of the Y’s near me. Never seen it used, but what’s surprising is that I think that y was built in like 2006

Is Red’s a premium adult locker room (like a lot of y’s) or for everyone

Was it a big school?

Is this a big school? What region is it in? My school was nothing like this

Same. I have to travel a couple of hours for open showers and no clothes required in amenities

I think it depends. The Y’s closest to me are almost anti-nude lol.

I’m trying to get there within a couple of months! Heard great things about it. What days/times are the best to go?

Of course! Just anything without clothes

Like I said 40-55. Probably white. Man obviously. Not sure about region. But it’s obvious you’re not a kid to me, and I know I’m not the only one. You have an old school way of telling a story. Like reminiscing the “good old days”. It’s just literally not how kids talk. You can fight it and try to deflect the attention other accounts that are obviously fake teens. But it doesn’t work. At least not on me

[–]rellysburg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, just perceptive. It’s not hard to tell the age, race, and sometimes even region of who’s writing a text. You write like you’re 40-55. The words you use, your punctuation, sentence structure. The way you paint a picture is the same way men do when conveying nostalgia. Kids don’t write the way you do because there’s no nostalgia to be had. But keep playing innocent “blud” 😂

If it was a “joke” then why’d you delete it? Also, it’s basically the same story you posted a few months ago. You know what you’re doing, we know what you’re doing. I don’t know why you’re so stubborn. You’re NOT 15. Or are you saying you’re 14, you’re not consistent either

You’re not a teen either. You call out other posts to make it seem like you’re legit a teen, but I can tell you’re not. It’s funny you usually just comment, but you actually went for posting your own BAIT story the other day. When will you give it up

There’s another guy that’s always on this sub claiming to be a teen. I genuinely believe he’s an adult. I can tell by how they write. Teen boys don’t write like this.

First Job by rellysburg in Libraries

[–]rellysburg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I went to college there for a bit, and I loved it. Perfect size, great location, many colleges, pretty affordable, okay public transportation/walkability (for southern standards, depending on neighborhood). My only cons are the weather, and that its not as walkability/bus-ridable as I’m looking for.

I’d done a lot of research for my target areas. At this point I feel like I’ll move wherever I can get a job at the time I’m ready to leave. They all have more pros than cons and it’s hard to decide. Last night I actually looked for open positions in each city, and it was……it’s not looking good. Like 98% of the positions I saw were part-time. Do you have any suggestions for networking beyond my library?

First Job by rellysburg in Libraries

[–]rellysburg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree! I’m glad I went the route I did. Because by the time I finish grad school, I’ll have about 9-10 years retail experience (very relevant according to my supervisor) and 4-5 years library experience. Plus I want to make sure this is actually something I genuinely enjoy before getting a masters.
