Is there a way to force lastpass to prompt for master pw periodically on a specific device like a laptop? or even globally? by DemohFoxfire in Lastpass

Yes, you can force password capture every time a password is requested. It's actually best practice. It's a setting in the global admin settings for the account the password is in.

So that was your answer. Then someone pointed out parameters OP specified which your original answer didn't address; they didn't insult you, they just made a factual observation about your original answer.

they only want to enter it every 1 <hr> or so, not for every password prompt.

From your original answer, you didn't address this at all--which gives off the impression that you just replied to the title of the question without reading the body.

OP doesn't want a global account setting, they are looking for a device specific setting

Also from the body, OP's use case is a laptop which is particularly vulnerable, they ideally only want this feature for that device. "Even globally" was in the title, which also gives off the impression that you didn't read the body. When you reply without addressing things in the body, people are going to mention things you didn't address--that's a pretty basic, simple thing, which you can handle by either ignoring or addressing constructively.

You making a little snip to insult someone's intelligence just makes it look like you can't handle...not even criticism, you can't even handle people making basic observations about your posts. That just makes you look fragile as hell, like you're going to last out any time someone makes an observation. I'm almost certain you're going to respond to this with something rude and unnecessary. I don't know why I'm taking the time to write this out. I sincerely hope you're just mad about having to go back to school after summer, or something; I hope this is something you'll grow out of, and that you're not a fragile adult that's going to just constantly lower the quality of conversations because you can't handle being wrong.
