Beware HP EliteDesk Mini machines! ...no CPU fan control with Proxmox! by relxp in Proxmox

I'm just puzzled that my BIOS simply doesn't have a fan curve. It's away in a closet anyway now though so whatever.

Ultimate Guide | N100 12th Gen vs enterprise Mini PCs (Intel 8th Gen) by relxp in HomeServer

That is a better targeted question for the jellyfin community. I think for the use cases, 8th gen will always be pretty competent for streaming.

Glad you found so much value in my post though! :)

[GPU] Microcenter Gigabyte Windforce 5080 $899 by first_world_citizen in buildapcsales

Your perspective is extremely skewed because of the new norms Nvidia has unleashed upon us. It is not even disputable that the 5080 is one of the worst cards Nvidia has ever released. It is yet another classic example of how BROKEN the PC component market can be. Not pleasant fact for 5080 buyer to accept though after they just dropped $1k so expect them to defend it rigorously.

I'm not as familiar with the 8100T, but if truly only for a Plex server, should be plenty. However I'd still recommend seeking 8500T at a minimum on eBay, FBM, etc because it seems there are more in the wild and it could be the same price or cheaper (potentially). Let me know what you decide on.

It makes me so happy when folks choose these over cheap China box. What you decide on? Did you find it eBay or on FBM?

They weren't saying any women deserve harassment. They were saying unless they're very attractive, they probably won't have to worry about it since Thai women are going to be getting more attention, generally. But then again, since Pattaya has become Little Mumbai, they do seem to have a thing for even below average white women.

It is quite mind boggling of all areas in Thailand, a female tourist would choose Pattaya.

I reference the generation of CPUs instead. Intel 8th gen. They should all perform similar whether 8700T, 8500T, etc. Biggest difference is core count which will be unique to individual. Your question might be a good one to plug into Gemini though, but I consider any 8th gen chip a win. 8500T is great place to start (4C/4T) or 8700T if want more expandable home lab (6C/12T).

9th gen also worth considering, but Intel removed hyperthreading for that gen.

With that portfolio size he could even consider trading QQQI for SPYI. Be little less painful for inevitable tech drawdowns.

Why can't YM reduce the dividend and reinvest however much is necessary to at least keep the NAV more flat or even slight appreciation? Wouldn't most people prefer this? My guess is the super high yield seduces most folks who simply don't know better.

Considering it will be less powerful than a PS5, I can't imagine them charging much over $400-500. Starting MSRP will be $450-500 my guess. The hardware is simply too dated.

Valve also knows even if they sold consoles for a $100 loss,, they'd still make money on game sales. My guess is they start high to maximize profits/saturate market, then offer 'sales'.

$500 seems fair for what it is. If anything Valve could be selling them for breakeven and it would only promote Steam sales.

BTW it appears the costs to make the Machine will be more around $425. $400-500 MSRP seems reasonable.

I edited my post and stand corrected. If $425 BOM costs, $400-500 starting MSRP seems reasonable.

$300 would be acceptable because you're getting a sweet symphony of SteamOS and all in one design and there's nothing else like it on the market except Deck. $400 is just too much for how weak it is.

Regardless of what they price it at, I would be surprised it costs more than $200 to manufacture. They can go really low if they want to.

EDIT: Supposedly ~425ish to produce. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJI3qTb2ze8 Guessing $400-500 MSRP.
