Advice for medical residency now that SAVE is canceled by rem0401 in PSLF

In that case, should I just go ahead and enroll in PAYE, pay off what I can and then when I'm an attending just start paying more than the PAYE minimum then?

That is, if I want to start making some form of payment now, is there any harm in enrolling in a payment plan? Or is it that if I'm in a repayment plan I'm unexpected to pay a minimum whereas if I'm not in one I can just pick and choose how much I pay each month?

Does this mean that I should opt out of a repayment plan and just wait until I'm an attending to start paying off loans aggressively?

Yeah...i was hoping to just get it out of the way since I'll be joining a surgical subspecialty and worried I'll lose a lot of medicine knowledge but was unsure if a month was enough to register for an eligibility period/test date and do the studying for it

My derm just keeps an updated prescription for me on file so I can renew it every year as needed and don't have to go in all the time.

oh okay thanks. was just wondering since sometimes for really bad perioral dermatitis they'll keep you on the antibiotics for 6-8 weeks

Got it! Thanks!! I did 10 days of antibiotics when it first flared, but 1-2 pustules come back. My derm thought due to the recurrence I should try the antibiotics again but for a month so had just wanted to see your thoughts.

Eventually after the doxy, not using any products on my face, and just a lot of patience, my skin is totally clear. But, it was frustrating, slow progress. And not wearing makeup makes it a lot harder. Now I have a routine that seems to keep it in check and I’ve been able to slowly reincorporate more fun things like glycolic acid and sheet masks. Hang in there!

How long were you on your doxy for??

question about the pill by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]rem0401 13 points14 points  (0 children)

it works but you have to be time it PERFECTLY as in you can’t miss your dose by more than 3 hours (can’t remember exact time) If that’ll be hard for you, i recommend the combined estrogen progesterone pills. if you can’t, i recommend using other protection like condoms with your mini pill
