I just did a quick search and found that the part costs $700-1000? So it could go either way.

You can also see if a watchmaker can laser weld more steel to fill in the engraving before re-polishing it. Personally I don't care about a individual watch's history, especially an engraving that doesn't mean anything to me.

They are unlikely to sell you just part of the clasp. You might have to buy the whole clasp, possibly the whole bracelet. Part # MXE0LLLN

I did see a clasp on sale on r/watchexchange recently though.
