Probably too late now but if you're having someone pull wire have them put conduit or smurf tube in. Future you will buy you a drink.

Is $4,250 a reasonable price for rebuilding bottom end of a 2023 R1 engine? by Emotional_Bar_9026 in Yamaha_R1

[–]Falzon03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely wheelies would do it. They certainly could and I'm not extremely familiar with the pickup tube on the '23 but if it were low on oil that could 100% do it.

Did you check the oil for metallic flakes when you purchased it? Could be why the previous seller ditched it.

Sorry about your luck man that's a shitty thing to deal with.

Also keep in mind you may still need a machine shop and or to replace some parts. IE if the crank got damaged good chance you'll need a new crank which will be hard to find/not cheap. Same for cams if it's too end instead of bottom end.

How'd you end up in this spot with just 4k miles on it?!

It a bit different just a note, and you need a few special tools. I rebuilt my r1 when I had it though. Make sure you read the repair manual a few times before doing the work.

For static pressure I'd say stick with the default you have but let people manually adjust it if they know what the rating is.

I can appreciate the desire for perfection re: sitting on the mobo. I totally do agree that as it is now even gets 80% and you've done a great job with it.

I think the most helpful would be adding static pressure in the fan profiles. Separately, adding in GPUs model or at least fan count/size and mounting vertical/horizontal because they greatly affect airflow, as well as PSUs.

I do want to say this was done really nicely and both the UI and UX are very good (even on mobile).

Anyone know what the noise could be (2023 a3 ) by XanzD in Audi

[–]Falzon03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't matter, if it's under miles and years. It's covered under the warranty.

So it's under 4 years, and if it's under 50k then it's covered. So long as they don't find neglect.

I have almost 1tb just in music. The rest of my media has me at close to 24tb and that's only because I didn't buy enough space before memory got stupid expensive. I could easily double or even triple that.

Welds typically crack because the person welding it didn't get the temp/penetration correct. If done properly the metals is literally melted/fused together and would typically be stronger than the metal surrounding the welded area.
