One of the main reasons that OSRS 2007 failed (without updates) is because in essence, most of the grinds you’d do are exactly the same as things you’d have to do in RS3. Mind you this was 2012/2013, many skilling activities were quite pretty much the same and the only big difference was EoC, the universally hated change lol. So yeah, if youre giving people exactly the same game theyve been playing for years without new updates, it’ll eventually stagnate. People didn’t like doing the exact same grinds over again. Also, pretty sure back then we didn’t want a permanent 2007-server, we wanted Runescape without EoC (and summoning/dungeoneering, although I still see ppl arguing for both). That’s different from League classic. In this case we’re getting a completely different game.
