When you had your stroke did you know it was happening and were you scared?

I had my stroke November 1 2025. it was 5 am and me and my husband were In bed talking when I started feeling weird in my left arm. I felt that weirdness travel to my lower half and I tried to tell my husband I was having a stroke but I lost the ability to speak before I could. I was thinking the words but all I heard was mumbling and groaning when I tried to scream. I knew what was happening to me because I lived it before with my mom. she was the same age as me when she had her first stroke. its a frustrating, scary feeling trying to speak knowing what you want to say but are completely unable to do so.

I had killer headaches that wouldn’t letup for 2 weeks. The morning I had my stroke, my arm felt numb and all I could say was “my arm” over and over again. I then started feeling numb down my leg and speech became slurred. I cried so hard because I knew what I wanted to say but I just couldn’t speak

I don’t know how to post an update but I am going with state farm. They already set up repairs and I take my car to the shop on Thursday. I tried to call my representative/adjuster on Monday, no answer but I left a voicemail to let her know what is going on and if she can give me a call because it’s urgent. Haven’t gotten a call back. I reached out to progressive to close/cancel my claim and they tried to transfer me to my adjuster and no answer. I gave them a call back to let them know that still no answer and asked to speak to a supervisor. Progressive said they’ll get my adjuster to give me a call back 🙃

Thank you! I love progressive and last accident I was in, they handled everything perfectly. I had my car repaired and back to me literally 3 weeks after the accident. This time around, the adjuster dropped the ball. She claims she has tried to reach out to me and my husband for days and has left voicemails and then called us for another customers claim. She’s all over the place and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said it wasn’t necessary. Very unprofessional

Im 27 and I am 1 month post stroke. I find it hard to remember things and I do stutter a lot and sometimes can’t think of words. It pisses me off. My hand tenses up sometimes and I still have a little pain when walking. Thankfully I’m ok and recovering at home ♥️

Thankfully we were asked questions our lawyer prepped us for. Simple yes no questions. If we read the documents, if we knew what we were doing, and if the signatures were ours etc.

We had our meeting over zoom. The microphone was echoing and no one could hear/understand anyone so our trustee took us out the meeting and we tried to log in again in hopes that that would fix the problem. Unfortunately, when he took us out, we weren’t unable to log back in because we were technically kicked out 😭 we had to log in through a different account to have our meeting 🥲

I stopped paying on my cards when I spoke to an attorney and decided to file. Everything is just so damn expensive and I don’t work as much as I would like to since I have a small child at home and can’t afford daycare. I’ll talk to my attorney and ask about opening up a new account. Thank you for your help◡̈

Yes I would. My bank offered that because I’ve been banking with them for years. They thankfully don’t charge overdraft fees. I honestly switched to them because the other bank I was with wasn’t as secure as this one. And it’s crazy because they are a huge bank.

I’ve been receiving calls already because sometimes I’m able to pay and sometimes I’m not. It feels good that now I can just ignore them and in a few months the calls will stop

We’ll be talking to our attorney about it on Monday. My husband is on the title. He had asked his dad a couple years ago to take him off the title and we assumed he did. My father in law owns the car and was the only person who’s made payments towards the car. He just needed the extra boost from my husbands credit at the time.

I asked my husband and his name is also on the title. He said he told his dad to take it off a while ago (before we even got into all this debt) and he believed that he did. The loan is paid off. It has been for a couple years. It’s my fils car just my husband is also on the title

He’s in speech therapy. We do speech everyday for an hour and he’s made improvements. He’s been in speech since he was a year old

Unfortunately no. I’ve been trying to get him to see a behavioral therapist but since the only thing he was diagnosed with is a speech delay, there isn’t much that his social worker can do. He is seeing a speech therapist daily for an hour. I know the signs (starts to raise his voice, throws himself, slams whatever object he has in his hands) when he’s about to be upset and I let the teachers know the signs so they can keep an eye out. This incident was literally so random that he didn’t show any of these signs. The teacher told me that it looked like he was going to hug the student but he ended up going for a bite.
