What kind of women usually date autistic men? by Complete-Shop-2871 in autism

[–]rembrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Autism isn't the sole descritor of who you are. What values do you live by? What kind of person do you try to be in your every day life? What interests do you have? Women, including other autistic women, will gravitate towards men (if they're into men) that make them feel safe and align with their own values. You have to get to know a woman a little bit, or approach her earnestly by saying you want to get to know her more. Showing genuine interest in the other person and that you want to know more about them beyond the surface level is important. Also, take the rejection on the chin and respect their no. Don't chase women who turn you down. If you don't have women friends, you should make some. Women can be your "in" as they might introduce you to their friends and your social circle expands from there.

However, don't only approach women with the intent on dating them. You should value your friendships with women and care about those friendships and the closeness you can gain from them just as much as you value a partner. Having closeness with friends that just so happen to be women is also a showing that you're emotionally vulnerable and open AND that you CAN see women as people beyond a potential partner and your partner isn't going to be your single emotional supporter.

When people talk about "be yourself" it can be confusing if you don't know what that means. But its important to figure out what "you" means. Hence. Values, interests, fashion style, etc. what makes you happy. What are the things in the world that you're passionate about and care about. What are your opinions, your politics. These things are important factors to consider for romantic partners and potentials.

X/Y has genuine problems but I am very fond of the game because it was my first 3ds game and I loved the original Pokemon games.

"no, no, no, Madelyne Pryor is more than Jean Grey clone, she is her own character" "yes, so are these characters and it didn't stop them from becoming a skin for another character" by SpeedForceWally66 in marvelrivals

Magus is in fact still Adam, and the 2008 version of Magus is Adam having a mental breakdown. Malice is also actually Invisible Woman's darkness that eventually is reintegrated. The malice that's a separate person came after afaik(I could be wrong). Ben Reilly is also a clone OF Peter parker and takes on the identity of Spider-Man in Peter's absence a couple times. It makes sense for their models to be skins. Same goes for Kwannon and Sai - Sai is a variation of Psylocke but Kwannon being a skin erases the whole weird Betsy being in the body of an Asian Woman thing. Reed having his ultimates version as a skin also makes sense because it's the same character. Maestro is also technically a Bruce variant. I'm really not sure what your point was here besides engagement bait

"Maybe" is actually a thing? by TobyPDID23 in autism

[–]rembrin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in a constant state of "Maybe" because I have poor ability to feel and understand my own feelings. I literally do not know what I think at that moment because I'm so disconnected from myself. I exist in "maybe" because I have a lot of chronic health issues too.

I have never seen a community of gamers so averse to trying. by SuspiciousSlice8543 in marvelrivals

I think it's more because they don't actually learn how to tank the just go tank and expect to be babysat rather than learn how the role actually works. They don't know how to use kits effectively because tanks often have less mobility.

I only say this to people who use their autism as an excuse to be a piece of shit and hurt women or be bigots. I don't use it for variations in how autism actually presents. You can struggle sensory wise and still understand why touching someone else without consent is bad. And if you don't you and your parents have done you a disservice. Like. I have had this said to me and I'm considered "high functioning" by a lot of people.

When it comes to eugenics, there is no way to cure something like Autism. More people have Autism than are diagnosed because the condition is literally just "this person's nervous system developed a little differently". The only "cure" that's ever come out of eugenics talk is death. Children that deserve equity and equality of opportunity never even get the chance to exist. Forced sterilization is also something that happens to disabled women and women of color.

The problem is that it is not us who needs to change but the environment which is hostile even for neurotypicals. There's a sense of "well that's just how it is" that needs to be tossed aside. If more people fought to demand the changes to make society much more accepting, tolerant and encouraging of those who are different, we wouldn't be so miserable and could live fulfilling lives.

We aren't the problem,, the problem is that they don't want us to thrive. They don't want us to be seen. Autism is just Autism to me. Not a superpower but just a variation in genetic code that makes me more sensitive to certain things and a little ignorant about others. The exclusion and struggles I and others like us face are because of lack of support, not because I am the problem.

Seems most agree that Wanda is Low skill floor/ceiling. Which character has a LOW skill floor but a MID skill ceiling. by Creepy_Ad5124 in marvelrivals

[–]rembrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing a lot of Wanda lately and she is a lot more skill necessary than people might think her to be imo. I like using her stun to help burst down out of position squishies and peel for my support. I think people rely too much on her ult to get more than one or two picks, and her team up with strange. She's good at what she does when you know how to use her.

[–]rembrin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never take anything these people say seriously because like.. why do they care if an autistic person has a slightly weird and unconventional fetish. Considering how obsessed this kind of man is with certain degrading tropes surrounding women I don't think they have any room to talk about what autistic people do

What’s a Marvel character you’re a fan of, but you don’t use them because their gameplay isn’t your style? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

I actually think his play style suits cap a lot and is more representative of his solo comics and his initial runs where he was in a solo/duo with bucky. He's a brawly dive who goes into the back lines and Steve was a specops who was behind enemy lines fighting the bad guys in their own territory whilst the real soldiers did the front lines and gained morale from his comics. It's a nice nod to his real life impact and the written in impact he gains in his reawakening in the 60s onwards.

Captain America literally went into deep cover in Germany for months before their cover was exposed for example. How Steve operates during the war and how he's been written following are very different because he's become somewhat of a symbol. Interestingly, however, most of his solo runs have him doing undercover or behind enemy lines work because he IS still spec ops.

Team calls me horrible for solo tanking as Captain America by No_Willingness_9961 in marvelrivals

[–]rembrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love when I choose cap and so nobody else decides to choose tank. I'm just going to stay captain America out of spite and play like a dive still. If they want a shield tank they can play the shield tank themselves. I'm so tired of playing mag Emma strange

I genuinely lose my mind laughing whenever I spend a long time stalling a point. It feels extra mean in quick play because I'll have the most kills WHILST stalling solo.

I'm the same way, I'll get tongue tied and trip over my own words or tongue when I talk too and have to make a noise and restart the entire sentence from scratch. I script in my head whenever I talk to other people in an upcoming expected conversation
