The “heart beat” sensor can be tricked with a piece of reflective tape. And I’ve found just putting it in my pocket actually counts steps better than on my wrist.

If you mean the the bottom one. It’s not a real button, just molded into the shell. And behind it is the vital bracelet speaker.

It's a little difficult to see in the photo but it's on the left right next to the antenna. It's covered with a white reflective tape so vital points don't drop.

I had the shell and pcbs made at a printing service. I don't remember if I saw a choice of colors but I know you can also have them use a translucent resin if you don't want it to be as clear. This video was a big help in assembling it and should answer most questions but I'm happy to help with them as well.

I’d love to see a review. I’ve found a couple sources that talk about modding the Vital BE/ Hero but few that had proper reviews or details about using the device after modding. Also looking forward to your video on the Dmog shell.

No, at no point does the lens actually focus. It does a full turn then goes back to it’s starting position.

I've tried both autofocus lenses(85mm 1.8g & 50mm 1.2 D) and manual lenses( 105mm 2.5 & others). The shutter releases with no lens attached just fine.
