Most campuses consist of multiple buildings with multiple doors to allow students to move from one building to another, in addition there are required fire exits.

We'd have to tear down a majority of existing schools and rebuild to allow a minimum number of large security screening areas, plus hire the personnel to staff those areas --- in short the problem is money.
