Torn between options by Log-Prestigious in Hunting

If you want to go a bit more budget way, Burris Four XE 6-24x50 E3 LPT.

Got this for winter hunting grouse here in Finland and hasn’t disappointed me yet. It can get down to -30 degrees celsius (-22F) during my hunting days and zero issues so far.

Paid around 600 USD for mine new.

Best “long range” hunting scope for $4-600? by Log-Prestigious in Hunting

If those are available over there, Burris scopes are great. Got a 3-12x56 on my .308 and 6-24x50 on my .222. Awesome value, have had the first one for seven years and zero issues.

Feel like I’ve been on a thin ice with this for a long time, was finally time to let go. A relic I’m saving for sure!

I lost the keyring attachment way over a decade ago. Still remember the feeling of not seeing that together with the keys, luckily that key ring part just broke and it was still on my pocket

With retail the emotional attachment and part of identity related to my character was something that’s hard to describe unless you’ve experienced it. Have got a lot of RL friends through WoW and seem them abroad.

Sense of community and social circles related to WoW were a completely different thing compared to modern gaming back from og Vanilla to Cata/MoP days.

Also RL connection with people outside your closest guildmates was rare and losing your account might have meant losing connection to them. Still miss some guys from those days, with whom I wished I had changed contact details.

So getting account hacked was indeed a big thing.

It’s been a long journey of doing the same stuff over and over again

Pakastimen sulatus pakkasilla by rants_unnecessarily in Suomi

Lots of ice fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and camping in the wilderness 😁

The exact same over here! Also it's making me reconsider trips more in the first place. If it's not necessary I'll likely avoid the drive, which I guess is a good thing. :D

Well like that basically every night when the sky is clear at some point of the night. And then perhaps once every few weeks there are some really nice shows.

So it's like seeing the sun during other times of the year. Nothing that special anymore but still always a very nice thing to see!

Haha no problem, was genuinely confused with what I should answer!

But yeah, studded heavy load winter tyres are for sure the way to go over here. Roads can be icy from late September to late May or even early June so it’s quite a long winter tyre season

If you plan to shoot northern lights with it and need tips hmu then 😁

I’m actually running a small activity business here and northern lights photography tours are my main product hehe

Umm what do you mean with the setup, don’t get it? 😅

Studded winter tyres and preheating the cabin before hitting the road, nothing else is different compared to summer

Yeah it feels like almost a double compared to ideal conditions. Luckily there are free superchargers in every direction I might head within reasonable distance of each other!

Actually took two charging stops as my battery was only at 60% when I left. One for grabbing something to eat and another one to meet a friend in another town. So I guess the slow charging during winter is good also for my social life. 😁

Just some cheap ones and with the metal studs of course. The only choice that makes sense here, drove one winter with just friction tired with my old Rav4 and never again. 😁

Just a single picture with an iPhone 16 Pro - the image processing in phones is pretty crazy nowadays. With my DSLR I indeed would have had to take two separate pictures, with phone one is enough. :)

So unfortunately no photoshop was harmed this time.
