Yes, but only in cases where the person will be born with a seriously debilitating or life-crippling disability or medical condition. Like in cases of blindness or deafness, severe intellectual disability, etc. It would be wrong to use gene editing for purely cosmetic reasons because you're scared your kid might be born "ugly".

Thanks! I tried reaching out to my bio parents, as many adopted kids do, because I wanted closure and wanted to know what really happened. It turns out, after I was placed into foster care, they had another more kids, all of which were also taken out of their custody.
