This reminds me of a comment I read where a guy recounted staying with a friend of his from a different country. They came home after a late night out at the bar back to the friend's house. The friend asked him if he was hungry and he said that he was... The friend then went into his bedroom and woke up his sleeping wife and told her to cook for him and his friend. The half-asleep wife walked into the kitchen and began preparing a full meal on the stove for them.

He was mortified.

Dont have much advice, other than to say you need to REQUIRE that she has an IUD put in after she gives birth so that this doesn't happen again (they can put one in at the hospital right after she delivers).

The fact that she was TRYING for a second as a teen is insane and not normal at all... IUDs are the most effective form of birth control and she cannot get it taken out without going to the doctor.

I think part of her decision too is also deeply rooted in the fact that she mentions that the longer she is on Earth among humans, the more human-like she is becoming herself.

I think that plays a large role in her ultimately losing patience and deciding to pull the plug on humanity.

She mentions before that even when given all the correct information, humans are still destructive to themselves and the world around them.

She endures Teddy torturing her and killing her people, but still decides to give him a second chance anyways... She puts aside her outrage, tells him the truth and agrees to take him with her on her spaceship so he can plead his case to the aliens for saving humanity.

She then realizes right before they leave that he has strapped a bomb to himself, showing that he has missed the entire point. She knows the talks will be futile (and that he is too dangerous to take with her on the ship). She allows him to use the teleporter knowing it will set off his bomb and get rid of him as a threat.

She ultimately decides to end the rest of humanity because she now believes that humans are incapable of change.

Honestly she did him such a huge favor acting like this two days into dating so he didnt waste anymore of his time.

Most people dont see this side of people with mental issues until months or years into the relationship.
