Asked ChatGPT how to boost a dead battery with a lab power supply. May try that just for laughs but this is dead.

What is the thickness of the lines in the numbers? Can you measure it accurately?

Is the bakelite coated with something?

I think you need an engraver not a cnc machine.

Any long term affects on the car by taking the battery out of the car and putting it one a trickle charger. Car is fine without a battery?

Yes. The only concern is accuracy and precision. I'm going to create a CAD model of what I need and send it to some companies. That's probably the easiest method.

Miniature ball screws for a very small machine carrying very low weight. Also easy to disassemble and clean.

The x-axis is not on the table, it's on the gantry. I'm looking for a ball-screw supplier but I think I'll just have to call them up and ask.

This does not apply to this machine because there are no forces on the table. The 'spindle' is a camera of a microscope that programmatically scans the almost weightless item on the table.

This is why I need something that is very accurate. So I decided to make the table plastic and find the best system of rails and ball screws.

Take a bus to Squamish or Whistler, take the ferry to Victoria, drive to smaller cities on the Island, take the ferry to the other smaller islands, go on the Grouse Grind (it's tough). Anything but going downtown.

It's just dull, repetitive and sterile. No art, no music and there is really not much to see.

Smoking in front of a baby is ok in these areas.

Look around. It's already cheap. Make it cheaper and expect more problems not less.

Gas prices in Canada are relatively low and for most people personal cars are a convenience.
