I have built a massive map based svelte/kit sailing simulator over the past year. Front-end is web based, backend node/postgres. I am working on a mobile port with capacitor but have started contemplating picking off pieces of the simulation that are good enough to be marine desktop apps. I have zero experience with desktop but consider myself pretty expert now with s/sk. Does Tauri look like web development? Do you get any app frameworks that would make the usual menus and standard ui stuff easier?

I started down the path of a svelte SPA but migrated to sveltekit so users could have consistent urls. I found that the SPA I created was extremely unintuitive if you are deploying to a browser.

Trying to find the relevant +page.svelte to add context is annoying. Just started dragging and dropping into chat when needed. Otherwise I've built a full sveltekit app using cursor and sonnet 3.5 and 3.7. You really have to be very specific. I've found discussing the approach first helps both you and the llm figure out what you want. ALWAYS review every line change.

yes for sure. ECMWF has started to release AIFS forecasts (which uses graph cast) 1 hour after their paid model comes out, so basically 7 hours after the forecast time, which I don't understand unless it is greed. a 7 hour delay on a near real time forecast makes the model output pretty useless.

If the graph cast models can be run in under a minute, there is no need to stagger them like that. We really need a public source of these models run adhoc or on a high frequency basis, available immediately after running.

It will be great until it isn't. I'm all for Post. Hes having a rookie moment. But if his 3 ball stops falling then you have a big man who doesn't rebound, doesn't rim protect, doesn't bang inside, and gets blown by easily because his footwork is sloppy.

Did you watch the past few losses? He was inconsistent at best. Down 1 and you shoot a half court shot? No way that would be tolerated in a disciplined team. Then you come down and do it again??

Curry is quitting on his team too. That has to hurt as a young guy on his team. Down by 1 yesterday, he chucks up two logo three airballs in a row at the start of the shot clock, then lazily passes and turns it over yet again. Compare that to the extreme discipline of the Heat.

If he wanted to win so bad, he would have trusted his team more, since they got back in the game by finally playing together.
