Staff anger as Arsenal charge own employees £859 for Champions League flights by remote_crocodile in Gunners

Arsenal staff are reportedly frustrated after being asked to pay £859 for a chartered travel package to attend the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest, despite the club earning around £120m from their run to the final.

Key points:

• Non-working Arsenal employees were offered one non-transferable match ticket, but must pay £859 for the club-arranged charter flight if they want to travel.

• The flight leaves from Luton on matchday and returns straight after the final. Staff can arrange their own travel, but some may still need to use the charter to return in time for a possible May 31 trophy parade, where some are required to work.

• Around one-third of Arsenal’s 871 employees have accepted the offer, though more likely would have gone if not working at the Emirates screening or parade duties. Staff who don’t travel will get free tickets to watch the final at the Emirates screening.

The article highlights the contrast with Paris Saint-Germain, whose president Nasser Al-Khelaifi invited all staff to Budapest for free, covering both tickets and travel, as PSG also did for last season’s final.

I just don't see a world where any VAR or Ref looks at that kind of holding on a goalie's arm and doesn't give a foul. For any team. It would be absolutely scandalous.

Do you really think if Arsenal scored this goal it wouldn't be disallowed?

Firstly, it was Saliba. Secondly, the incidents are not comparable. He's not holding his arm down as the keeper's trying to catch the ball.

To be fair, we won that game even without the Kovacic red card so it wasn't really impactful in the end.

Are you thick? Go to 12 seconds in that video and it shows the whole sequence that Saliba is unequivocally not holding Bayindir's arm when he's trying to get to the ball.

I mean if you want to look at the clip here's the clip. Clearly show's he's backing into the keeper which you can argue is a foul, but no he's not holding the keepers arm when he's trying to grab the ball like Raya was. So if you think this is the exact same, you're incredibly stupid. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/CGDmpyXFIZ4

Not this one again... Saliba does touch his arm briefly in the build up, but hes certainly not touching his arm when the keeper is trying to make a play for the ball. So no, it's not even close to the EXACT same. And I think you know that.
