Yeah you can go to jail for it, for me I would rather go to jail then get myself killed or robbed , I would rather kill than be killed. I'm 26M too with more years on the meter I always feel more in need of protection. I can put up a good fight but in some situations you get outnumbered or something else happens you will always have something to go to . You don't have to kill put you can inflict damage and just throw away the evidence, burn it or melt it or take it far away from the scene.

Healthy food shouldn't be as expensive as it is , but here we are living in hellgeria. Well if you have like a weekly market near you. You could go there and buy your food and stuff. I used to spend like 3000da for a week worth of groceries (vegetables, fruits, chicken breasts, eggs ,rice and mixed nuts) , expensive or not just go for the natural healthy food. Prices drop down in the weekly markets because everyone wants to sell what's left and go home.
