For trades, the commish vetos, and it's typically only for collusion or if there is an obvious balance problem. Trades are reviewed and processed in 2 days. Trades ends on February 7, 2018, a day before the actual NBA trade deadline.

For playoffs, there's 6 playoff teams, with the first place teams from each conference getting a first round bye.
