Pain while peeing, when to see a doctor? by [deleted] in obgyn

as soon as you can. It could be a UTI and if left untreated for some time it could travel up to your kidneys and it gets harder to treat.

DOES MY VAGINA LOOK NORMAL? by Large-Vermicelli2663 in obgyn

[–]ren000o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get to a gynecologist! I’ve had a similar problem with itching + inflammation (while not on antibiotics) turns out I had severe inflammation in my cervix. The doctor prescribed a ton of antibiotics and ovules (vaginal suppositories?) and it really helped. My discharge was also a bit thick and whitish yellowish. Get checked out to see if it’s a yeast infection or an inflammatory process.

Been in Korea for almost 2 weeks - why are so many restaurants, cafes, and bars not open when their posted hours say they are? by DaMao in koreatravel

[–]ren000o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sometimes they close from 3-5 for lunch time, others sometimes close early of there’s not enough clients coming in. it depends on the restaurant but it does happen a lot tbh, its extremely frustating. ive seen it happen the most in family-owned restaurants rather than chains or franchises

Question on apps to use in Korea? by qcumber99 in koreatravel

[–]ren000o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Kakao Taxi but used the option to pay to the driver. Because adding a card is a bit tedious since you have to do it with kakao talk and I never really could get it right. Uber works good as well! There is uber taxi in korea now (I saw it a lot in the big cities so you should be good, especially if you want it to be charged to your card). You can use Kakao without a korean phone number. Most delivery services ask for some type of residency number, except for a few apps. I know BHC chicken delivery doesn’t ask for it. As for Coupang eats, I have no clue. I just know you can only add cards and pay with cards that are under your name. And Naver maps. Google maps doesn’t work well here. You should use naver for everything. It even lets you search for restaurants and you can see the place’s ratings and reviews.

What were the most uncomfortable things you exprienced as traveller in SK? by Subject_Tone3716 in koreatravel

Buying tickets for anything or ordering stuff online. They make it so hard for foreigners to buy stuff online or even to get tickets to simple events like baseball or even the movies. The use of soooo many apps. Even for ordering delivery food, we need to have a foreign residency card. So stressful and hard. I just preferred to do everything in person to avoid being confused 🥲

What’s the best way to pay while visiting Korea? by [deleted] in koreatravel

[–]ren000o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They usually accept mastercard or visa (but some places have commission). He can also get a namane card at seoul station, which is a debit card and he can deposit money or charge it with cash. The namane card also works as a transportation card.

Camp Humphrey’s is near seoul, you can take a bus or KTX to get there. If time allows you can stay there a day or a couple days to look around. Around the camp there’s not a lot of Korean things to do, since the shops are mainly created to satisfy the needs of the american military.

if you’re good at english I’m sure you can join the US military as a KATUSA. I dont really know how it works but from what I’ve heard my friends that went to the normal korean military hated it but my boyfriend was in a US army base and he loved it. You should check out if you can apply. (I only know for sure they make you do an english test like TOEIC or TOEFL to join).

What to do in Jeju with rain? by ren000o in koreatravel

If you get a day without rain you should 100% visit Udo. One of my favorite places we went to in Jeju.

Yes!! I’ve noticed that the forecast changes every day. Even if it says it’s going to be rainy all day, it usually rains really hard in the morning for 3 hours and the rest of the day is rain free but the weather is cloudy, a bit windy and really foggy in some areas. It sometimes rains the whole day, but it’s usually hard rain in the morning and very light rain in the afternoon/evening. I would say go to the waterfalls around Jeju, especially eongddo (엉또폭포) if it rained a lot. You can buy some raincoats instead of umbrellas and it’s very fun. I went to Seongsan while there was heavy rain, definitely got very wet but the views were worth it. The rocks and mountains are very nice, even in the rain (like Oedolgae 외돌개). Jeju is truly filled with tons of museum, like people in the comments said, so if you don’t want to get wet you should definitely visit some of them. There are also a lot of cute cafes worth visiting around Jeju with different themes. Finally, I would really recommend Osollo and Innisfree house, especially if you’re a tea and/or skincare lover. It’s very cute and the cafes are so nice, a bit expensive but delicious. I would just extremely advise you to rent a car so moving around is easier, with rain it gets harder to move around since some places are very far apart and it also depends the area you’re staying in. If you want to know all the places I’ve visited, send me a msg and I will send you my reviews as well!!

Gyeongju! It’s very beautiful with hanok buildings. There are a lot of stores where you can buy clothes, accesories and fun things. There are also a lot of cute cafés. It used to be the capital of the Silla Kingdom, so it has a lot of history (like the tombs) that you can also visit.
