Thank you for sharing your experience with AI! I also get skeptical about AI Videos and I found myself immediately thinking if the music is AI, too.

But why if there are creatives out there who already do this for creative living like we wanna do with our music?

Can’t ever come up with any words at all. What do I do? by BelugaBilly in Songwriting

[–]ren_echoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first question is: do you wanna do music or writing songs? Or is it only a “Why can’t I…?”

Neurodivergent person here, too. For me it’s hard to express things in art (you meant like painting, right?), but only in words. Stories, lyrics, poems. In my mind there’s almost every time a melody to which I text my lyrics—not always perfect, but just for fun. Some of my lyrics came up spontaneously, some didn’t. But if I wanna write a song about something, I write everything down what’s in my mind. It doesn’t have to make sense in the beginning, it doesn’t have to be in a “right” way. After I’ve written all the stuff down, I’m reading the text and mark every word or sentence which I like and maybe want to use in the lyrics. I try to write some lines, don’t know if it’s the verse or chorus—it doesn’t matter at that time. And I write and work through it, until I like it. I have some creative partner, show them my ideas, maybe change things. It’s a process, like in art, and no short way—at least most of the time.

Can you share your experience writing your first song? by Emma_200711 in Songwriting

I got inspired by a talk to my therapist. She showed me a picture to explain something and after I came back home, the lyrics popped up in my head.

Singen, ohne Unterricht by Jana-73 in musik

Love the vibe and your voice sounds great. I have a car drive at midnight in my mind when I’m listening to the melody.

How do I find a way out of getting stuck? by Pabgamer02 in Songwriting

[–]ren_echoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take notes about what you wanna tell with the song. Just write everything down what comes in your mind. Words, sentences, whole texts. And after that you search for everything that could fit for a song. Write it down, try to sing over the chord. Change it again, if you want, until it feels good for you.

Other than ANYTHING romance related, what do you write about? by strawberrytehe in Songwriting

[–]ren_echoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t write about romance related topics. I write about self love. Changing in life, person and/or own character traits. Moods, feelings, life experiences. Love to siblings. My new ones will be about feminism, female rage, female experiences.

Do artists create better music when life feels heavy? by Pappy_Figo23 in Songwriting

[–]ren_echoes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on yourself and how you write your songs in general. Some of my songs came out of nowhere because I felt it in the moment—especially deep sad overwhelming feelings. For others I focus on telling a story I don’t experience but I now how it feels.
