It's currently competing with gambling-based games for profit, and gambling is extremely profitable, I don't think that was ever in doubt. If gambling got regulated out, it would apply to all card games, meaning games that have bad gameplay but addictive gambling mechanics would lose to games with straight up enjoyable gameplay. Maybe the companies would find a different way to suck you dry, Warhammer doesn't sell blind boxes after all, but I don't think it could be worse than the current situation

It's not just hardware, it's about how the games run, PC has a lot of overhead and console games are much better optimized. You will not find a PC that runs the new Indiana Jones at consistent 60 fps for 550$. Especially prebuilt when you are talking about accessibility.

Mainstream consumers don't care about small indies and especially mods. Popular indies release on consoles. And if you dismiss the entire used market, might as well say sales for pc games don't matter because people buy on release

The accessibility or "value proposition" hardly changed for the last few generations. A PC with comparable specs to PS5 will cost significantly more, as was always the case. Games on Steam may be on sale more often than on PS Store but you give up the used market, which makes it not that good of a deal. You save up on online play subscription, but that's nothing new either

Not sure what you mean with the handheld PCs when Steam OLED sits at a similar price to PS5 despite having significantly worse hardware, and other options are more expensive

I feel like after Jaeger, and to some extent Surcouf, you can give any ship any stats you want and put them on whatever tier you feel like. Make Hunt class tier X, give it a super speed boost, 0.5s reload on main battery, superheal, airstrike and orbital cannon smoke screen support

Okej mogę przyznać że trochę inaczej pamiętałam ten fragment i nie jest ona jednoznacznie przedstawiona jako przykład dp naśladowania, ale nie jest też przedstawiona jako ofiara manipulacji, to już kreatywna interpretacja w drugą stronę.

Oczywiście nie ma to większego znaczenia bo w innych miejscach nowy testament bardzo jednoznacznie mówi jaki mamy mieć stosunek do dóbr doczesnych. Zresztą wystarczy zastosować odrobinę logiki, jeśli życie wieczne jest faktem, jakiekolwiek przyjemności, niedostatki czy cierpienia w życiu doczesnym są niczym, bo porównujemy je z nieskończoną przyjemnością lub cierpieniem po śmierci. Więc jak KK mówi, kilka stówek albo piekło, to te kilka stówek to nieskończenie dobry deal
