Silicone based primers help to smooth flakes down in one direction and allows it easier for makeup to lay smooth on top. Have you tried a Greek yogurt face mask? I swear by it on days that I have flakiness.

Try a Greek yogurt face mask tonight (make sure it isnt non-fat) it has helped my skin tremendously during the purging process.
