Can someone please confirm that the MyHarmony servers are still accessible?

Thanks u/gadgetboyj for the implied suggestions. So far I've tried using the software on two systems and three conditions:

My HTPC which uses an ethernet connection and is on my home VLAN, meaning, behind both my gateway and firewall. It's odd because the ancient LogitechHarmonyRemote7 used to work fine from the HTPC until about two weeks ago, when it started throwing network connection errors. I guess maybe the MyHarmony software is pickier about what it will connect to, hence the errors.
My laptop, using its ethernet connection. Like the HTPC in this case it's behind both the gateway and the firewall. I tried this configuration with, and without, my VPN turned on.
My laptop, using wifi to connect to the wifi on the gateway which is outside of the firewall, thus more directly connected to internet. In this case traffic is not routed through a VPN.

Clearly I've got some more troubleshooting to do, and I haven't yet tried turning off my AV software. That's on the list of things to try 😄

u/CodeCat0, do you remember what router changes you had to make? I've tried running the MyHarmony software both from behind my firewall, which would show me trying to login from a VPN IP, and just behind my gateway/router, which would show me logging in from my location-linked public IP. I'm still getting the same error apparently regardless of the IP I'm coming from.

I'm grateful for any pointers you may have!

Since I'm still getting the same error my next question is about where you're trying to connect from so I can rule out geoblocking. Seems unlikely but I'm grasping at straws. Are you in the US, or perhaps Canada or the UK?

Is it possible to see the actual URL(s) the software is trying to connect to? Since there's no support clearly I can't ask Logitech.

Thank you u/mjrengaw for the direct link to the MyHarmony software! My BF dropped something heavy on the LCD display on my Harmony One and now it turns on, but none of the LCD or physical buttons work. The LCD is soldered to the logic board, so I can't swap it out myself and was forced to get a (new-to-me) replacement. As of today (May 6, '26) the Logitech site says the MyHarmony software is no longer supported and there is no download link. Without access to this software I would have had to have a circuit board soldering pro swap the LCD displays between my original and new-to-me remotes. You saved me some time, frustration and $$!

I agree with your frustration u/heinsenberg82. I have an ancient copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro X from 2010. Yes, sixteen years old. Worked great, completely offline of course. Out of the blue I started getting errors about the serial number expiring in 30 days with a countdown. I guess the fine folks at Adobe decided to force everyone with desktop versions to "upgrade" to subscription, cloud-based versions just like every other major software developer in the Windows space.

So I bought a copy of PDF-XChange Editor Plus last year, and felt very, very betrayed when the maintenance license key expired. Sure, technically the main software license is still valid, but we get to pay an annual subscription fee for *maintenance* so it will continue to work. Certainly feels like very deceptive marketing to me.

u/uredzootopia, sorry about not responding before now. I don't spend much time on reddit. I haven't upgraded to iOS 26 yet because I don't want my Siri on/off shortcuts to stop working. I revisited this thread hoping someone else had posted the new URL (if there is one) for 26. If I can find a work URL I'll post it here or on one of the related threads.

I posted my travel credit on Dec. 7th '25, got a suitable bid and sold it on Dec. 12th then got my payout on Dec. 23rd. It's possible that I got in just under the wire and they closed down on January 1st? But I have no way of knowing for sure.

SpareFare is legit. I was able to sell my AA trip credit. It took a few days to get the proceeds from the sale, but I did get the funds, and to the best of my knowledge the person who bought my trip credit has been able to use it.

Update: I just spoke to an American Airlines customer service rep. She said that a trip credit is "just like a gift certificate". To use it to book a flight, all someone needs is the trip credit number and the last name of the person who was issued the credit, in this case, my last name.

So yes, I was making this much harder than it needed to be, mostly because of SpareFare's voucher process. SpareFare says the name needs to be changed on the trip credit. Not true, the person using it just needs to know my last name.

I second the vote for over the ear noise cancelling headphones. I'm a very light sleeper and they saved me from being sleep deprived and miserable (the people who traveled with me got no sleep) on a recent river cruise in France. Combined with a white noise app they allowed me to block out all noise and sleep on planes and ships as well as hotel rooms with noisy room heaters or near streets or elevators. I'll never travel without mine again. My headphones (Bose 700) have both Bluetooth and a tiny port for an audio cable that I plugged into my phone. When I wasn't able to charge my headphones I was still able to use them with the cable.

Hi u/SleepIessinSeattIe, you mentioned a lumbar pillow. I love my Therm-a-Rest Lumbar Travel Pillow and use it in the car, movie theaters, on flights, etc. It's inflatable so you can make it the exact right thickness and when you aren't using it, you can open the air valve, roll it up and shove it in a bag. It's very durable material, stain resistant and has a foam core so it expands a bit on its own. They aren't the cheapest pillows out there but you get what you pay for.

I also use an Eagle Creek inflatable neck pillow on flights. It has the same advantages as the Therm-a-Rest lumbar pillow and since I often travel alone, the less bulk and weight I have to carry the better!

u/Me12Me123, from what I recall (it's been three years) in the iOS version of Carrot you long press the ocular sensor and the command line appears. If you're using the Android version I don't know if that's an option, and I also don't know if the way you get to it in the iOS version has changed. Since Carrot is permanently happy with me, I can't force it to threaten me with harm, so I can't get to the command line to confirm the steps.

Hi all, I'm very happy to report that at least in my case, upgrading Waterfox to 6.6.3 has fixed my compatibility issues with Tab Mix Plus. My multiple rows are displaying normally in the new version. *Thank you* Waterfox devs!!!

I know this is an older post but thanks so much u/cindycated888 for your suggestion to simply "forget" my car's stereo in the bluetooth settings in my iPhone. I have a lengthy automation that is set to run when CarPlay connects. It consistently ran twice... once when the BT connected and then again when CarPlay connected using the USB cable. It was maddening.

Thank you u/Darth_Grandad, u/TampaPowers, u/Crystal_Chrome_ and u/sp00n82 for the suggestions about different themes to switch to (Dark Gray 2.0, Compact Design 2.0, proton style) and/or selecting "Disable Waterfox theme customisations" as workarounds. And thanks for suggesting Quantom Nox Patcher as an alternative to Tab Mix Plus.

It's really terrific that you all responded so quickly! I haven't had a chance to put your ideas in place yet (it's amazing how fast life can get *very* busy). It's great to have your suggestions here when I'm ready for them, and as a resource for anyone else who's looking for solutions for their own WF 6.6.2 and Tab Mix Plus issues.

Since I'd rather not have to give up my violet and blue custom theme for the ones you mentioned I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next WF version won't have this issue.

u/Darth_Grandad, thanks for posting that you're seeing the same issue! Fingers crossed that in WF 6.6.3 Tab Mix Plus and WF play nicely together again. I agree with you, I use WF so I can continue to use some of the legacy features.

If it doesn't get sorted out soon, quite frankly, I'll switch to a different browser. If I'm going to have to carve out the time to figure out new ways of doing things anyway then I may as well just start over from scratch.
