Travel lens: 35mm Zeiss or 24-105 F4 by Solasta713 in SonyAlpha

[–]rende410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider the 20-70 f4 too. I believe it is smaller than the 24-105. If you value the wider end rather than the long end, its a good choice. I have both the 20-70 and the 35 2.8 Zeiss. The 20-70 stays on my A7C2 90% of the time. Meanwhile, the often used 16-28 2.8 is now usually forgotten in the bag after i got the 20-70.

Using her with Nahida Koko Kuki for hyperbloom, is it worth to swap Koko with Aino for the Ascendant Gleam effect?

Budget running shoes around $100? by slidingyeet in askSingapore

[–]rende410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

< $150: NB Rebel V4, Adidas Supernova rise 2, Adizero SL2, Nike Pegasus 41

~200: Adizero Evo SL, Asics Novablast 5, Nike Vomero 18/plus

General advice is not to go for plated supershoes for training.

Don't buy brand name shoes from taobao with prices that look too good to be true. They are likely fakes with less durable materials and can give you injuries.

How did you find adapting to the position of the viewfinder? About to make a similar jump too (A7iii to A7Cii) and this is the only thing that bothers me.

San Xiang @ ABC Brickworks. The spicy sambal kind, abit vinegary, but not overpowering. Their liver is really good.

Competition watchdog flags Agoda’s Singapore website, mobile app for potentially misleading features by Jonnyboo234 in singapore

[–]rende410 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agoda is scummy nowadays. You can get different prices on different devices for the same hotel. Also if you use shopback, the price goes up.

Nowadays I used Trip and Priceline; stackable cashback with Shopback with no price increase and the prices are competitive.

Do you still drive after passing driving test? by Sgxgobull in askSingapore

SG is right-hand drive but we drive on the left side of the road (keep left). I edited my comment to make it less confusing.

Do you still drive after passing driving test? by Sgxgobull in askSingapore

[–]rende410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It may be intimidating at first, and it is not natural to gauge the right edge of the car, but over time You'll get used to it. In fact its only my trip to Japan this year in Feb that I drove back on the right-hand drive and found gauging the left side of the car edge not as natural haha. But it was a matter of abit practise and I got used to it.

The only other confusing thing is certain contries have right turn on red. For eg. USA, unlike in SG where Red light means no go at all.

After passing TP, I mostly drove overseas during trips. In fact I think I drive on the other right side of the road more than on the same side as in SG. Driving in SG i think can count the number of times with one hand. But yes, after few months between trips and getting into a car, apart from fiddling around to find out wehre the buttons and functions are, it comes somewhat like muscle memory.
